Pat Buchanan's 1992 "Culture War" Speech

Post by zboy1 »

Simply amazing (and very prescient in 1992...):

Yeah, he's a racist and an anti-Semite, and too much of a social conservative for my tastes...but what an amazing speech in 1992. My only problem with the speech was him endorsing that piece of sh*t Globalist, NWO shill GHW Bush and the Bush crime family. But nevertheless, after viewing that speech many times...it's sad just how much the United States has fallen culturally, morally, and economically since those times. ...

Buchanan a racist and anti-Semite? Where do you get that? I had dinner with him a couple of times in the '80s, and anything along those lines certainly wasn't the direction of his conversation.

He did call Congress "Israeli-occupied territory," but that's just demonstrable fact.

And believe me: this point of view wasn't "prescient" in 1992. Prescient would have been in about 1963.

Oh, don't get me wrong: I agree with about his views on Israel and the Jewish Lobby stranglehold on the U.S. government; I also agree with him about a lot of other things including: unfettered illegal and legal immigration, the destructive nature of diversity and multiculturalism, feminism, and the social and moral decline of the country. I also agree with him about supporting economic nationalism and opposing "Free Trade" and globalism.

I'm just pointing out that's what the media and the political establishment (including Republicans and 'supposed conservatives' like the National Review, who painted him as a racist and anti-Semite) want you to believe. I've read many of his books including "Death of the West," "A Republic Not an Empire," and "Third World America." All good books, btw. ...

Yeah, good point. The neocons -- after virtually taking over National Review from Buckley -- tried to cut Buchanan out of the conservative movement with the usual slur tactics. They gave the same treatment to a writer I knew well (and who was the reason I got together with Buchanan a couple of times) named Joseph Sobran, who had been an editor at National Review and one of Buckley's main protégés. A sad spectacle.

But the slur wasn't justified in either case. I know quite well that Sobran was no anti-Semite, though he was very interested in the power of the Israeli lobby, and such issues. And I defy anyone to find anything in Buchanan's writings that makes him a racist or anti-Semite.

I remember that speech at the Republican convention. It was really good and exposed the liberals. Bucanan seems more genuine than other politicians.

I liked the part where he exposed Hillary Clinton for believing that children should be able to sue their parents. Man how degenerate can you get.

Speaking of Congress as "Israeli occupied territory," it's looking like AIPAC is going to have a pretty good go at scuttling the Iran treaty, hammered out by six nations -- about the only positive thing Obama's ever done. It's almost comical how much control the Israel lobby has over those clowns. Bibi just says "jump," and they say "how high" on their way up.
