John Mearsheimer - Why America's Liberal Hegemony on the World Is a Failure and Delusion

Why does the US push democracy so aggressively on the rest of the world, and will even use the CIA to do bad things in order to obtain this objective? Is it out of altruism or virtue or a hidden agenda?
Check out these interesting lectures by Prof. John Mearsheimer about the liberal hegemony of the US and how it pushes liberal democracy on the whole world as part of its "moral crusade" and why it has ultimately failed. He makes a lot of sense. He says that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US thought the world was theirs and as the only remaining world super power, the wind was on their backs as they converted the rest of the world into liberal democracies, as if everyone in the world wanted liberal democracy and was just waiting for America to come and liberate them. But that didn't turn out to be the case. He says that America has a great delusion that the whole world wants liberal democracy and that it's the highest virtue.
Mearsheimer also says that after the collapse of the USSR, America thought that it was a unipolar world, but it became multi-polar with the rise of China and Russia again. Apparently, America also propped up China and made it rich, assuming that capitalism would turn China into a liberal democracy. However, nationalism in China won out in the end and trumped capitalism and democracy, which America did not foresee in China and Russia. Very interesting lectures about how geopolitics work. Of course, all this could be engineered and orchestrated by an elite cabal like the Illuminati too. If so, then this is all staged, and Mearsheimer doesn't take that into account. But he is a pragmatic professor, not a truther.
