Update: I chickened out (again) at the last moment. I became VERY depressed and agitated thinking about it and was filled with dread about how it would affect my mind and psychology in the years to come. Not to mention the whole idea of letting someone messing with my insides I found just too much to contemplate!
In theory I have put it on hold for a few more months but I can't see myself overcoming this one obstacle. Logically everything makes sense but mentally and emotionally it's a horrible thing to consider.
The looming surgery just accelerated my thought processes and brought many things to the surface which I had previously not thought about as deeply.

Funny as I have the exact opposite problem. I have had a varicocele problem since my late teens, which makes it really hard for me to have an ejaculation unless in a sitting position (and even then, it takes ages). I used to see this as a massive plus point, as I would enjoy all of my sex without condom and no worry of knocking the girl up.
But now my wife is starting to mention having kids more and more often, a surgery to remove the varicocele and a therapy to improve sperm quality are going to be due soon. I am slightly concerned that I won't be able to give Monica biological kids, yet that's something only a doctor can tell. And, just like you, I am routinely making excuses to avoid that revealing check-up...
Update: I just got back from the doc's and I'm all done. It wasn't too bad at all, about like a trip to the dentist. If you do it, make sure you follow the instructions to put ice on it; from my reading on the internet, the people that had problems did so because they ignored the ice.

I also booked the entire month of May in Angeles.

for those afriad to get a vasectomy and worry about wanting kids later just bank your sperm in a sperm bank before the operation or adopt
as for will a filipina love me if you dont want to have any kids. heres what i would do. never tell her about the vasectomy. f**k her without a condom( the best part of a vasectomy is no more condoms). after x months or years she might wonder why she is not getting pregnant. if it comes to this tell her that i will only try the natural way and i refuse to visit a specialist. tell her you dont want science interfering with the process and if its meant to be god will make it so. if she is not happy with that find another girl. point is you will have been able to f**k her for a many months or years without her knowing you are infertile rather than it being a deal breaker. after then you might want to get a new girl anyways. also women lie all the time about being on birth control and manage to get knocked up so i wouldnt worry about the morality of it. also think about it like this is your only value to her that you can knock her up? if she loves kids so much she should work as a teacher.

If she gets pregnant and tries to stick you for it (telling everyone you're a heartless bastard in the meantime), you insist on DNA testing, swearing up and down (to anyone who'll listen) she cheated on you (which she did).
She can't get pregnant unless fluid was exchanged. THAT'S why I said use a condom! A vasectomy WON'T protect you from STDs!!
