I'll be heading to Cebu in February to do some research for a book. I'll be there a month. I'd like to find some female companionship while there. I'm not much into bars in any location and am not looking to hookup with pros.

From what I've read it sounds like gals are quite approachable even if the "approacher" is significantly older. I've been told to simply say hi and ask to be their "text buddy".

I'm wondering if any of you guys who have been there and done that can offer advice as to good intro lines. I don't mean to sound too much like a dreeb but being 55 and going up to a 20+ or 30+ gal here in the states and trying to chat her up is just way beyond my experience.

You can always use Cherry Blossoms or one of several other dating sites to prime the pump before your February trip. That's what I did. I'll be in Cebu on Tuesday and will report my progress.
