Thai school sports event.. Quasi-Nazi pagent?

In many Asian schools, they have annual "sports day" events where students participate in various athletic events, with parents attending as guests (and sometimes as participants).
Some schools try to get fancy with sports day themes. In Thailand there's a private school in Bangkok called Thewpaingarm that allowed its students to decide what theme they wanted to do. For some odd reason they got interested in WW2 history and decided to hold a Nazi pageant. Over 100 students dressed up as quasi Nazi party members and goose stepped around the school yard. LoL.
You can see some photos from the event at bottom of this page:

Note that in many Asian countries, they don't share the same political correctness as we do. While it's probably poor taste to joke about Nazi's (except maybe Mel Brooks) here, you'd find it as a subject of humor in Asia, even in children's cartoons. In the popular Urusei Yatsura anime movies, the character Megane ran a Nazi themed "Third Reich Decadent Cafe". The creator of the series, Rumiko Takahashi, also authored other popular series such as Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkou, and Inu Yasha (broadcasted in the US).
