..... America has this habit of tell other people how to live, eat etc.
Many Asian countries have a problem with that - US-citizens enter als tourists, teachers, clergymen and try while in contact with locals, to change their life-style. I rarely observed this behavior with other citizens - the huge majority are from USA and are explaining locals all and everything in their own country is bad and all and everything is so much better in United States.
Not all citizens living in Asian countries accept this behavior however. Here in Japan for example Christian clergymen have a hard life, walking from door to door, but in Japan Buddhism/Shintoism is strong and will not change easily. Same with life-style, everything from eating whale meat, how to educate their children or how otherwise they should regulate their family affairs.
I have never noticed such an intrusive behavior from other foreign citizens, not from Germans, not from Russians, not from Chinese...
It's not about politics, it goes deeply into your private famiy life - claiming international (US-made) United Nations regulations etc.

There’s a group of Mainland Chinese travel documentary makers who went to North Korea. They posted 34 NK videos on YouTube with English subtitles for Chinese dialogue (but not Korean).
Keep in mind they were in an escorted tour group visiting the capital and probably showing the top 20%. But it’s still quite interesting as the tour guide explains how they get ID at age 17, assigned jobs after school graduation and get hooked up for marriage (if still single) at 27-28:

(Click on SAO documentary for rest of videos in series)
P.S. the young tour guide is pretty.
