You're not dealing with "your own mind". You're dealing with a pre-emptive error correction system, that makes you think you're dealing with just yourself. When in reality, you're living with someone else, that you cannot see. That NO ONE else can see. This is why most think they know the problem, but very few have a solution. You cannot fight an invisible enemy. It's a losing battle. That's the purpose of this system. To keep you fighting against an enemy that knew you since birth, so you're distracted from the real enemy that's the true cause of your suffering.

BAD LUCK IS REAL!

Sure, bad karma is "real" so long as you think that you yourself are "real." When you can see yourself as a constantly changing illusion (not easy!), then both good and bad karma will also be like an illusion to you.

Anyway, for those of us stuck in our ordinary concepts of ourselves, the best way to lessen the effects of bad karma is to perform positive actions. So if you are worried about very bad luck, then start being very kind and generous to people and animals to try to offset this current bad luck of yours.

What do you do when your own mind constantly distracts you, makes excuses, and BLOCKS you from all the stuff you need to do?!

It's hard to get anything done. My mind has high ADD, wanders too much, makes excuses a lot, distracts me, and keeps BLOCKING me!

Whenever I have something important to do, it seems to take me about two months. Everyday something goes wrong. Either I get distracted, tired and sleepy, or get a headache.

For example, yesterday at noon I was finally gonna do something important that's been dragging on for two months already. When I'm about to do it, suddenly I'm drowsy and need to take a nap. When I take a nap, I sleep for 6 hours! When I get up, it's already 6pm and I have a headache for hours! The headache hurts every time I think so I can't continue working. So I take Advil and lie down, since there's nothing else I can do. Then fortunately a thunderstorm outside erupts, which I like, so I go outside to drench my face and hair with rain, since that usually soothes and refreshes my head when I have a headache. It works and begins to soothe my headache. After my headache subsides it's already 10pm and I am too tired to work, so I sit on the couch and watch a movie. Once I do that, I'm too lazy and distracted to get up. Then I take another short nap until morning.

See how that works? That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. Everyday something either distracts me or BLOCKS me or makes me tired and sleepy. How do you get anything done? What can you do about a problem like this?!

Could it be that if you are a deep freethinker, that the Illuminati or dark forces that run this world, or even nature, puts some sort of "self-destruct mechanism" into you, so that you stay out of the way and do not cause revolutionary change? I certainly feel like there's some type of "self-destruct mechanism" in my head that works against me. What is it? I've seen others have it too. It usually f***s up everything you try to do by making you "shoot yourself in the foot". It's a terrible curse to have.

Could this be why so many freethinking hippies in America are not able to get anything done? Perhaps there is some type of self-destruct mechanism inside them that prevents them from doing anything or being productive? I've seen this in a lot of brilliant creative people as well. Something inside them impairs them. They can't do what they need. Their mind makes excuses and blocks them from doing anything.

It is said that ADD is both a curse and a blessing. It makes it hard for you to concentrate in school and memorize stuff. But people with ADD are good at thinking outside the box and seeing things at another level. They see things a step above others.

I think I've had this problem to some degree all my life. For example, when I as in elementary school and junior high, there were girls that liked me and chased me. I liked some of them too. But I couldn't do anything about it. My mind made me coil in fear for some reason, and BLOCKED me from doing anything. I was paralyzed with fear.

By the time I was really interested in dating girls when I was 18 or 19, and no longer afraid of them, it was too late. High school was over and everyone kept to themselves in college and there were no girls that had crushes on me anymore. Typical example of Murphy's Law in my life. See what I mean? That's been the story of my life!

Anyway, Rock, Momopi, why do you ALWAYS dodge questions like this? If you don't have an answer, and if you SUCK when it comes to psychological problems, then why don't you admit it and just say so?

Why don't you admit that you only know how to deal with practical problems, but you cannot solve psychological ones? Clearly, psychological problems are outside your realm of knowledge and capabilities, since you are too left-brained and practical, which is the typical Asian mentality.

So why can't you be HONEST about that? If you asked me to solve a practical problem that I couldn't, I would be honest and admit that I'm not good at those kind of things. I also had lots of stuff planned out and I promised when i reach Philippines, which itself took hell and back to achieve it ....things will be lot easier and i can carry out my goals easily and since I landed in Hong Kong Airport...I could feel the attacks to unsettle me...everything went downhill and even after being in Manila for two months now..I'm exactly where I was before in India....I'm crippled with the attacks and unable to do anything now...

3. The key to controlling your mind is learning how to empty it. Physical activities like shooting sports, archery, fencing, martial arts, yoga, etc. that build muscle memory may help you focus better than chess and meditation.

Now, remember that you asked "...what do you do...", and I answered with what I do. When I feel distracted, I take my Sheridan Blue Streak with Williams Peep sight, or Daisy TargetPro 953 with Air Venturi micrometer rear sights and go plinking.



This is somewhat like what they use in Olympics 10 meter air rifle competition, expect those guys (and gals) use very very expensive air rifles, and mine are um... under $200. The peep sight has very narrow focus and helps me concentrate.
