AVOIDING LOCKDOWNS

Post by Jester »

Suppose a fellow could live anywhere.
But he wanted to avoid the Corona-Baloney Panic-demic crap.
Is there such a place anywhere?

-- No lockdowns
-- No shutdowns
-- No "stay at home" orders
-- No curfews
-- Stores open normal hours, no Soviet stylev queues to get inside
-- Liquor freely sold at retail
-- Bars open normal hours, no distancing
-- Restaurants open normal hours, dine-in
-- Malls open
-- Haircuts available
-- No masks required
-- Beaches, parks etc all fully open
-- No "social distancing"

My ideas, from snippets of conversation or news stories I have gleaned:

Sweden
Norway
North Dakota (USA)
Georgia (USA)
Florida (USA)
Belarus (Byelarus) (a country between Russia and Poland)
The "Stans" (former Soviet Central Asia) (Kirghizia,Kazakhstan, Kalmykia, Uzbekistan and so on)

Does anyone have some knowledge of this?
Ideas... please!
If you do know of a place, then please feel free to facebook me at "Haig Adomian"

Nice to see you posting again Jester.....

Florida is a mixed bag. South Florida is in lockdown with beach hotels closed and only essential businesses open for those wearing masks. Other more rural areas have begun to normalize, albeit with baby steps.

Urban areas like Orlando and Jax are somewhere in between.

I imagine you'll get the same strict policies in all of the important countries but maybe the poor ones can't be bothered?

Is that the purpose of this? To bring the USSR model to the middle-class? No disposable income, no free time, standing in line after work for hours to get bread? Well we did let our guard down if you think about it, it was a long road here form the 80s.

Well there are no lockdowns here in Taiwan, or in Japan or Korea. But it's a social hell here, where women are 100 percent closed and introverted and not comfortable talking to strangers at all, and it feels like an invasion or privacy or boundary, inappropriate in other words, if you cold approach them. But if you want safety, then this is the place for sure.

I heard that Sweden has no lockdowns either, if you can make it there. The people are more mature and old souled there I heard. Not as toxic or crazy as America at least.

Welcome back, Jester. Great to hear from you. You've raised the $24,000 question that's foremost in my mind. A few random thoughts:

Sweden? I believe the entire EU is locked down to non-EU travelers. Last I heard they were going to extend this to at least June 15.

South Dakota is one of about seven states that didn't lock down. Not sure about North Dakota.

Belarus recently opened up to non-visa travel (see a post by CE on the subject). You can stay a month and need to buy cheap health insurance at the Minsk airport if you don't already have it. I assume they're letting Americans in if you can get a flight there, but am not sure.

The scamdemic has hit me coming and going. First I had $873 sunk into a 15-day cruise from Panama to Lisbon to leave on April 17 -- a great deal. Canceled, no refund, same with the flights down to Panama. Then I spent $947 on a flight to London on May 12. Canceled, no refund. There apparently is no way of telling whether the airline -- SAS -- is going to be flying transatlantic any time soon. Who says the airline and cruise industry are being hit hard? Sounds like a great business model to me -- collect the fares, then cancel and don't incur the cost of providing the service.

I've been trying to get to either Bulgaria (around 250 "covid-related" deaths) or Georgia (nine deaths last I read) to spend the summer on the Black Sea. Both apparently will open to foreign travelers in July. I'd imagine the Black Sea resorts like Sunny Beach and Batumi will loosen up considerably, maybe even be filled with horny women ready to bust loose with some long-deferred human contact. But who knows with this insanity? Who knows how many of them have turned into paranoid germaphobes.

It goes without saying that in my almost 70 years this is far and away the worst time to be alive, and the worst part is that the insanity shows no signs of letting up in the face of all evidence (in the US this is now in large part a political phenomenon -- the corporate media aren't going to let up on the fear porn until after the election, and if that doesn't get rid of Trump they'll probably start WWIII).

Winston, I can't remember whether I've passed along my experience with Taiwanese women, but if so here it is again.

There were two of them in a boarding house in Dublin I stayed in for a month in 2014 -- twenty-something, cute, very sweet and friendly if a little shy and reserved. They were going to school in Dublin. One went home before I left. The other came to my room to say goodbye the night before I was leaving. She gave me a hug AND WOULD NOT LET GO. I finally broke the clench and saw her off, but in retrospect I'm wondering if I was expected to do my manly duty that evening.

What would I surmise about Taiwanese women from this encounter? Maybe ready to bust out of the shell of their culturally-induced reserve. But maybe that's more likely to happen when they get out of their culture. In any case, they definitely appeared interested in men.

So I'd think about going to Taiwan if they aren't locked down, but I've already spent all the money allotted for travel this year.

Above mentioned situations, most of it is OK here in Japan!

Here in Japan the situation is not bad at all, especially not outside of the large cities of Metropolitan Tokyo and Osaka,
Hokkaido is a special case, only few people are living there, but surprisingly many were infected from Chinese tour groups.

In Japan to use masks was always the case, nobody here is forcing you to wear one, but more or less all locals are wearing masks, I recommend you to wear one too when inside of rooms, trains, bus....

Restaurants, bars, shopping malls are open in general, no queues at all, less customers - many decided to close about 2 hours earlier, around 9 PM instead of 11 PM....

-- No masks required - but recommended, comply if asked to do so in closed rooms...
-- No "social distancing" - but recommended, comply if asked to do so in closed rooms...

There are often signs in supermarkets to keep some space between waiting people at the cashier or restaurants - as anyway few customers - will offer one table for the customer - the next table nearby is not in use to keep some space... etc.

Nothing is forced here however, it is all voluntarily done.

--------------------------------------------------

Trains are moving on as usual, no travel restrictions inside of Japan, but many hotels just closed down because of few visitors, reservation in advance is important. Some local bus lines are running using the Sunday schedule with less buses per hour.

About the corona-virus, most people recovered and left hospitals, about 5500 people are still under isolation and medical care in all Japan.

Most infected people in hospitals are in the large cities, but if you move on to smaller cities and rural areas, almost no patients, in my case, in Okayama - about 2 million people totally - only 25 people are confirmed to be infected, 21 left already hospitals and only 4 people remain in isolation.

Any restriction like schools opening etc. is expected to be officially recalled around 18th of May, in a few days in most provinces in all Japan.

The main problem I see are international flights, most of them are still cancelled, and it is not easy and not cheap to enter and leave Japan by airplane.

The real ? is who would have the power to lock half the planet down on such short order with very little proof this was a big deal ?

Here in America the first large scale publication putting the clamp on the US was a college with predictions out of the UK. Ron Pauls Liberty Report made this claim. The American revolution rages to this day but Americans are to dumb to figure it out..

Well, don't keep us in suspense, Moretorque. Oh wait, I think I know the answer. But the Jew flu is a little harder to identify than the Jew coup. Eighty percent of the principals involved in the latter -- pols and media -- were clearly Jewish, but lots of goy, like Fauci, have been put out front of this effort. And Trump, and Tucker Carlson, who flogged the scam for a few weeks before finally smelling a rat.

Boy, you've got to tremble in terror-stricken awe at the power of our masters. It's a good bit more than half of the world, including all caucasian populations, that instantly shut down economic and social life -- shut down still pending further instructions.

Probably the bad guys are locking down different things in different countries in order to test how they can keep basic infrastructure going while killing most of the people. It is indeed incredible that they are getting away with this over the common cold with seemingly no resistance whatsoever.

Now this. Is Trump trying to lose the election? It's hard, but this would probably do it:

Count me completely off the Q train, pending evidence that this is merely a ruse.

Jester, why did you say:

"Does anyone have some knowledge of this?

Why should we contact you at your FB page? Are you saying this is a one time post only and you aren't coming back? lol :P :(
