In the U.S. we have this branch of government called the judiciary. These suits aren't being filed in state legislatures. If legislatures don't do the right thing it will be decided ultimately in SCOTUS, and unless the vote of Gorsuch or Kavanaugh can be purchased Trump will prevail there.

The electors still have to turn up physically in Washington and cast their votes. Traditionally they'd all vote for the certified winner, but if the legislature is convinced that the result was fraudulent they could appoint electors to vote for the other candidate.
