Hello, I’m a long time lurker, but finally decided to sign up.
Bit about myself :- mid 40’s, divorced with children. Dated at home for a couple of years after my divorce. I had a lot of fun after a 20 year marriage and met some nice women along the way. I decided to give dating a break for a while to do some traveling and then met some nice women in Russia too. One I’ve been seeing for a few years.

Been traveling to Russia since 2016. I’d met women online before my first trip. I wasn’t fussed if it turned in to anything romantic and I would have been equally happy just to have someone to show me the sights as a friend.
I’m outgoing by nature and didn’t have any problems meeting random women at home, despite not having much dating experience when I first divorced. I found Russians very approachable and not cold at all. As I said above, once you become part of their inner circle you couldn’t ask for a better friend.
I don’t think cold approaches would be my choice if you’re looking for a wife, I think it would be too hit and miss, but if you have time on your hands and approach the right demographic yes it’s an option.
IMO the difficulty is for a guy looking for a wife by randomly approaching women is first the language barrier. I have only met women with good English skills.
Second only a small percentage of women would consider leaving their country.
Third, a foreign guy isn’t particularly special anymore. Back in the 90’s all you needed was a pulse and a passport, it isn’t the case now. If you travel east and even south of Moscow you still find areas where being a foreigner draws curiosity though.
Lastly if you’re not like me who’s preference is older women (my age) and you want a young attractive wife in her 20’s, it’s infinitely more difficult. In my experience those women are in high demand with local men and have no problems attracting a young successful man who will treat her as good as a western man will. Most attractive younger women have boyfriends or husbands already because there is more men than women in that age range and men haven’t developed problems they have later in their life alcoholism and inattention. It’s not until women reach late 30’s when they out number men. If you’re sensible and approach age appropriate women, divorced or a single mothers who struggle to find men due to social and cultural reasons and are a gentleman and respect women, you may get lucky cold approaching.
My preference now I have some experience is to meet women online. Find one who I have great chemistry with and get to know her on a intimate level before traveling. I’ve never had a bad experience yet using that method.
My main advice for men is to be realistic!! Only a fraction of men marry hot young models and most of them get used as a green card mules and dumped. Find an age appropriate girl next door type, who has a good relationship with her family, Has a consistent personality, a good sense of humor and a love for life. Also it’s good to meet a women which a social conscience who is actively involved in her community.
Some may not agree with some of what I’ve said and that’s ok. Everyone has different experiences and there’s always exceptions to the rule.

Welcome, and yes, some are still dating and interested in foreign women, and others are already married with a foreign wife, some of us relocated away from the feminist areas living outside of Europe and the States.
From where are you originally? From the States, or Europe/UK or elsewhere?
