he's losing some of his finest troops at Bakhmut and the Russian economy, while by no means collapsing, has begun to shrink.
You don't know that. Like Yohan, you are just repeating what you read in the mainstream media and thereby proving yourself to be stupid. Its is the responsibility of all governments during wartime to constantly mix lies and truth. Tjis is psrtly to confuse the enemy, partly to keep up spirits of stupid people like you, @Vogager1 and @Yohan, not to mention the soldiers actually fighting. The only intelligent position is to keep an open mind until the war is over, and meanwhile assume everything you read is possibly a lie....
Is Voyager not from Ukraine? It seems he is fairly good informed, not only by newspapers, but with personal contacts what is going on between Ukraine and Russia.
About myself, I collect my information from the other side - from China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan etc. and I can assure you that nobody cares here in this Asian region about Russia. Just cutting as much business as possible with this country.
China has other problems to consider - Russia/Ukraine is not important for China.
China helping Russia - and risks to miss plenty of business opportunities in Europe and Japan and even in the USA?
Do you really believe that?

In Japan all imports from Russia have now successfully moved to other countries which are more reliable...
It's not only about energy, like coal (now from Australia) or crude oil (some Arab countries are willing to deliver), fish import from Norway...even food for 130 million chicken is now taken over by Brazil... LOL...

I think you live in the fantasy 'Russia good, all others around it are bad' and also believe, tha Russia has unlimited power to rule over Europe and parts of Asia, but this is not the case.
So far not even a single NATO soldier died, but Russia lost a huge number of young men (either dead or handicapped), lost a significant amount of military equipment, Russian oligarchs find their property and money in Western countries confiscated, trade is declining, plenty of other sanctions and restrictions, even now the Russian president is openly accused to be a war criminal....
The weakest point however of Russia is its small population and low productivity. 145 million people is about the same as little Taiwan and Japan, or the same as Germany and poland - and its productivity is lower than those of Italy.
