What do you guys think of girls, from places like the Czech Republic or Russia that consider the loss of their accent, or more importantly, adoptation of an American accent a good thing? Have any of you guys noticed any correlations between girls like this and certainly personality traits (one's that I don't like, such as loudness, shallowness)?
Do you think that such should be taken as a warning sign that a girl has bought into the idea that acting loud, rough, tough and entitled is a sign of 'freedom from oppression' or 'expression of independence'? Or is this a too far-fetched jump to conclusions?
Or could it be that they're eager to expand their horizons, and it just so happens that the default 'foreign culture' is the anglo-American one?
