Just saw the OBIT episode from The Outer Limits. Very chilling and predictive. Great plot and acting too. I guess it's true that Outer Limits is an intelligent man's version of Twilight Zone. Cool series. I love the way people talked on TV in the 60's. Every word is clear and crisp and easy to understand. Not too fast or too slow. No need for subtitles. I wonder why TV shows can't be like that today.

I just saw Contagion.

It was made in 2011. It also features a coronavirus that spreads all over the world and started when a bat virus got mixed with a pig virus. It also started in hong kong too.

Wow. What an amazing coincidence that that exact scenario actually happened this year. What are the odds?

Is this predictive programming? Or precognition by screen writers? Like that Titanic story written in 1898?

Also at the end of the movie the only solution was vaccines. Surprise surprise.

Okay Winston I'm going to break down your movie links because I'm confused

There is one big budget movie from 2011 called Contagion starring a lot of well known actors like Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne, Bryan Cranston. It's the one that everyone was talking about this year when they heard news of a virus from Wuhan China because a lot of people watched that movie then or more recently on Netflix. In 2011 in theaters it grossed $75.6 million in the USA and $136.5 million worldwide.

There is an old VHS movie from 1997 called Contagious. And a modern looking movie from 2008 called Containment/Toxic Skies and a UK movie from 2015 called Containment. And an American tv series from 2016 filmed in Atlanta Georgia with 13 episodes called Containment. There is also a 2009 zombie movie starring Chris Pine called Carriers.

There is a 2007 two-episode tv series called Pandemic. And a 2016 movie called Pandemic which grossed $8,459 worldwide. Then a 2016 five-part web series called Pandemic.

It's very hard to keep track of which movie is which with all these similar titles and themes and maybe that was the intent.

This episode of the Outer Limits from 1998 entitled "The Vaccine" reminds me of the shortages of coronavirus test kits. A doomsday cult releases a man-made virus around the world, killing most of the global population. A group of thirteen survivors guarantying themselves in a hospital receive a vaccine, but only enough for three people who meet a certain criteria.

At 0:50 while watching a news report, a nurse speculates that the incubation period for this virus is 2 weeks (coincidence?). The other nurse asks "What if it's airborne?" A man in a bio hazard suit shouts "Go home!" to an impatient and angry crowd in front of a hospital. The narrator says, "Along with futures we dare not imagine..."
