I think I was undecided, but was saying the situation might be a disaster, which I still believe. I very quickly came round to believing the damage to be done by the virus itself was a hoax. Prove me wrong.

Yesterday my forum avatar was suddenly rotated sideways by itself for no reason. I had to reupload it to correct it. That never happens and should be impossible. Furthermore, it didn't happen to anyone else's avatar, only mine. Why? Was that a warning from the deep state that they are watching me and can take me down anytime they want? Because I've been talking shit about those doing the lockdown and calling the virus a hoax?

Right. But since I'm forum admin, maybe they decided to send the warning to me first, instead of everyone else here, to make a point? How can a forum avatar rotate sideways by itself all of a sudden? What kind of glitch could cause such a weird thing like that? Isn't it also symbolic, saying that "we can take you down, or we will take you down"? Since my avatar rotated sideways is symbolic of me falling down to the floor right? Isn't that creepy or what? Like something from a horror movie. Maybe I should start declaring the virus to be real and agree with whatever CNN says?

I very quickly came round to believing the damage to be done by the virus itself was a hoax. Prove me wrong.

Here's the true story: Covid-19 is indeed a new illness. About as deadly as a bad flu, but much more contagious than flu, either inherently more contagious or more contagious because it's brand new. Result is that covid-19 creates a sudden surge in death rate among the vulnerable population (hence those overflowing hospitals in New York) but soons burns out, like in 2 weeks, whereas annual winter flu kills the same vulnerable population over maybe 2 months. You can see this visually in the graphs at https://www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps/. So not a hoax, but doesn't justify lockdown either. Just isolate the vulnerable population until there is herd immunity among the young.

Low mortality was not obvious initially, so I'm hesitant to call the lockdown in Wuhan overreaction. By mid February, low overall mortality rate was becoming increasingly clear, and now there is no question.

On 19 March, British public health service removed covid-19 from list of high consequence infectious diseases (HCID), because it was clear by then that overall mortality was low: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/high-conseq ... f-covid-19. Note that this same British public health site is now giving hysterical advice about protecting yourself from covid-19, despite having long ago concluded that the disease isn't all that dangerous. That hysterical advice is a recent addition, probably due to political pressure, but covid-19 remains removed from the official HCID list.

Reading through this thread, about the only one whose posts I learned things from is Yohan. (Well, Shemp is always interesting but I am not convinced that covid-19 is no more dangerous than the flu)

The only conspiracy theory that wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be true is that coronavirus originated from a Chinese bio-lab, since this is the CCP we're talking about. They expelled all foreign journalists, were arresting anyone who spoke out about the virus since early on, have been caught lying time and again, were literally welding people's homes shut...they're capable of just about anything.
