Did Jesus go to India or Britain during his missing years and after his crucifixion?

Post by Winston »

Any of you ever heard the theory that Jesus went to India or Tibet or the far east during his "missing years" between 12 and 30 years old to study Buddhism and Eastern Spirituality? There are books and documentaries about it. It's based on some texts that a Russian author found in Tibet in the late 1800's that mentioned some holy man named Saint Issa coming from the Middle East and learning Buddhism there during about the time that Jesus would have lived and been in his youth. The parallels between Saint Issa and Jesus are striking and uncanny, as well as their sayings. Here is one documentary about it.

Here is another interesting film I found.

Jesus was a Buddhist Monk BBC Documentary

Description:

This BBC 4 documentary examines the question "Did Jesus Die?". It looks at a bunch of ideas around this question until minute 25, where this examination of ideas takes a very logical and grounded turn with surprising conclusions that demonstrate...

The three wise men were Buddhist monks who found Jesus and came back for him around puberty. After being trained in a Buddhist Monastery he spread the Buddhist philosophy, survived the crucifixion, and escaped to Kashmir, Afghanistan where he died an old man at the age of 80.

Maybe they're desperate for tourists http://www.tombofjesus.com/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9w-xJfSOyc "Govt of India Documentry on Jesus in Kashmir"

I've seen ~30 books on the subject of "Jesus in India" or Kashmir. I'm guessing most of those are hacks (authors) trying to profiteer off controversial claims. The most famous books on this are probably Christ in Kashmir by Aziz Kashmiri and The Unknown Life Of Jesus Christ by Notovich. Some claim Jesus learned Buddhism in India. Others claim he went to there (or went back there a second time) after surviving crucifixion. http://www.alislam.org/library/books/je ... index.html

Ask yourself why this is finally being entertained, not ridiculed like decades past. Why are prostitutes like Deepak Chopra on Fox News claiming this. Why is A&E and even the BBC showing documentaries on this subject?

Keep in mind that Project Bluebeam and all that goes with it - including the unification of the world's main religions, (primarily Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism), has several prerequisites which have been 'leaked.'
The Blue Beam Project ... consists of 4 steps toward the implementation of the NWO religion with the Antichrist at its head.

First, earthquakes at certain precise locations of the planet will result in new archaeological discoveries, revealing that all religions' basic doctrines have been misunderstood and misinterpreted.
Be highly suspicious of any and all new archaeological "findings" dealing with the origin of man, the origin of "Judeo-Christianity" and the identity/lineage of Jesus, or earth's previous contact with "UFOs". The Indiana Jones film series, which dealt with the "Holy Grail" and particularly the latest installment involving aliens, was a great amplifier! But there are many others including Zeitgeist, and the Da Vinci Code (preparing people for a Jesus blood-line leading all the way to .. surprise surprise.. the current English monarchy).

Bible is strange enough without making it stranger. Wise Men who found Jesus were ZOROASTRIAN ASTROLOGERS. Isn't that weird enough?

New Agers have no balls, and are afraid to take the leap of faith. Either Jesus didn't die, or He wasn't resurrected. Same crap since the Sanhedrin.

There is only one God, in India, China, or Israel... so not surprising that some spiritual elements are in common.

Jesus may have spent time with the Essenes, a findamentalist Jewish sect. Possible, barely.

But more likely he was just spending his years up to age 30 as a self-employed building contractor, able to retire around age 30, havin buried his stepdad, and having bought his mother a home, paying cash. And owning a Sunday suit of clothes (for Passover I mean of course) worth as much as Oscar Night dresses today. Woven with no seams.

Though a carpenter, he had picked up agriculture as wel (wheat, mustard seeds, etc) so he must have spent time on farms as well.

And he knew about the fishing business (cast your net over there).

And he clearly knew all about banking and business (talents, vineyard, checking, debts).

And apparently was comfortable around weapons.

My view is that a man picks up spiritual truth while doing practical work.

(Now I need to go do it.)

This is the most popular book about the Jesus went to India theory, written by Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Years-Jesus ... 00RC0RG3A/
The Lost Years of Jesus: Documentary Evidence of Jesus' 17-Year Journey to the East

Ancient texts reveal that Jesus spent 17 years in the Orient. They say that from age thirteen to age twenty-nine Jesus traveled to India, Nepal, Ladakh and Tibet as both student and teacher. For the first time, Elizabeth Clare Prophet brings together the testimony of four eyewitnesses – and three variant translations—of these remarkable documents. She tells the intriguing story of how Russian journalist Nicholas Notovitch discovered the manuscripts in 1887 in a monastery in Ladakh. Critics “proved” they did not exist – then three distinguished scholars and educators rediscovered them in the 20th century. Now you can read for yourself what Jesus said and did prior to his Palestinian mission. It is one of the most revolutionary messages of our time.

Another book on this fantastic theory of Jesus in India. This one purports that Jesus survived the crucifixion and lived on in India with his Apostle Thomas to spread his teachings and live the remainder of an ordinary life.

https://www.amazon.com/Christ-India-Sto ... 01IY3WDCM/
The Christ of India: The Story of Original Christianity

The unique story of Jesus, Saint Thomas his Apostle, and how the Dharma of India became part of Saint Thomas Christianity

"Original Christianity" is the teaching of both Jesus of Nazareth and his Apostle Saint Thomas in India. Although it was new to the Mediterranean world, it was really the classical, traditional teachings of the ancient rishis of India that even today comprise Sanatana Dharma, the Eternal Dharma, that goes far beyond religion into realization.

In The Christ of India Abbot George Burke presents what those ancient teachings are, as well as the growing evidence that Jesus spent much of his "Lost Years" in India and Tibet. This is also the story of how the original teachings of Jesus and Saint Thomas thrived in India for centuries before the coming of the European colonialists.

The Christ of India: The Story of Original Christianity includes the following:

* The Christ of India, about the Essene roots of Jesus and the early Christians; the spiritual training of Jesus; The "lost years" of Jesus, with much information never before gathered together in one place; Jesus' return to the West, and how his teachings were misunderstood; Jesus return to India after his resurrection; and much more.

* The Apostle of India, about how Jesus' apostle Saint Thomas went to India, and how the Christianity which grew up in India had a totally unique character compared to elsewhere in the world; the history of Saint Thomas Christianity in India and how it was persecuted by the colonialists.

* The Beliefs of Original Christianity

* Special Appendix: Indian Masters Who Considered Jesus One of Them. Stories of masters who had visions of Jesus, and those who researched Jesus' time in India, including Sri Ramakrishna, Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Sivananda and others

You will learn about the manuscripts which proved Jesus lived in the "East," and the efforts to suppress the news of their discovery.

You will learn about the Indian Saint Thomas Christian bishop of the 18th century who taught karma and reincarnation, who later became a wonderworking saint revered by Christians, Hindus, and Muslims alike.

Those who find themselves attracted to both Jesus and the Dharma of India will find this book fascinating and illuminating.

Here is the original 1887 book by the Russian author Nicolas Notovitch who claimed to have discovered evidence in Tibet that Jesus went to the Far East during his youth and missing years. The Kindle version of this book is free.

The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ The Original Text of Nicolas Notovitch's 1887 Discovery

Another version:

The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ

Nicolas Notovitch was a Russian aristocrat, Cossack officer, spy, and journalist known for his contention that during the years of Jesus Christ's life missing from the Bible, he followed traveling merchants abroad into India and the Hemis Monastery in Ladakh, Nepal, where he studied Buddhism. While recovering from a broken leg at the monastery of Himis, Notovich discovered the text to The Life of Issa and realized that it recounted the lost years of Jesus. This controversial book shows where many of Jesus' beliefs comes from, while at the same time showing that Jesus was already well on his way to his fundamental beliefs at a very young age.

There's no connection between Christianity and the Eastern religions.

I thought Brigham Young who founded the Mormons said Jesus went to North America to teach the Indians (Native Americans), not to India.

It's pretty clear to me that Jesus was some sort of scam artist. All his so-called "miracles" amount to sleight of hand tricks. Possibly he studied with some Indian fakirs, who mix sleight of hand with extraordinary yogic control of the body. He also had a cult leader personality, like Mark Davis, but only able to dupe the less intelligent lower class types plus some weak educated people like Paul. The cult goes on to this day, still duping fools and weaklings. Just look at Neo or our old friend Adama.

But what if you're wrong, Frank?

Wouldn't it be far better to believe in Christ and then keep His commandments so that you could be rich and in luxury for an entire eternity? David says that at God's right hand there are pleasures forevermore. And Job implies that this world only has a small portion of the revealed glory of God. In other words, the world to come is probably billions of times better than this one.

I would be afraid to offer up the vanity of blasphemy, especially when it comes to the nature of Christ's miracles. That's near destruction just for going near there.

Jesus did not go to India, North America or anywhere else 12 to 30.

Luke Chapter 2 tells you he went to Jerusalem then back to Nazareth with his parents. It does not say he went anywhere else so he didn't. It says he was subject to his parents (Luke 2:51). Going somewhere else would not be in line with this.
