Why don't women fight against feminism? Why don't you fight against feminism? I suppose the question applies to men too, but I'm intrigued as to why women don't usually say anything.
Re: Why don't women fight against feminism? The best way to fight it is to ignore it exists and go about your everyday lives.
Women aren't really fighters in the sense that they actually 'attack'. We'd fight more, I think, by personal resistance. Those who dislike feminism just don't apply it to themselves. They do what they think is feminine instead. They might go 'vintage' or become interested in traditional lifestyles. They might get into baking, knitting, or something that's incredibly 'uncool' for feminists. That's their way of sticking up the middle finger. When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.
Re: Why don't women fight against feminism?Isn't that sort of an oxymoron? A truly feminine woman doesn't "fight" like a warrior. She uses subtlety, and is more passive than a masculine woman. So you can't expect a really feminine woman to "fight" otherwise she wouldn't be that feminine right? lol

Re: Why don't women fight against feminism?I guess what I meant by fighting was, anything that undermines feminism. Ignoring it is obviously good, but it's really not enough.
Re: Why don't women fight against feminism? There are many different types and shades of feminism. Why does everyone associate feminism with 'an ugly looking masculine not feminine woman hating men willing to fight'? Bullocks!
A feminist can maintain her femininity, love men and be emotionally attractive, but she's wise. She won't let men disrespect her or mistreat her. She will not tolerate her man cheating on her. She can still cook for her man, look after children, respect her husband, and so on. She is sweet and soft on the outside, but hard on the inside. She is strong, but it doesn't mean she doesn't need men in her life. She will gladly follow her man (if he's wise), but she will not let him control her because he should trust her. WHy do men use feminism? To marginalise, manipulate women and ridicule them so that can lead better lives convenient for them. What about chauvinism? Why don't we hear so many women talk about it? Because we have better things to do. A wise man will never ever manipulate.

It's not about being a strong woman, all women worth their salt should be as you just described. A feminist is someone who fights for total equality for women. The right to work in a factory, or as a mechanic. The right to wear a business suit and be a CEO. The right for girls to play rugby and other full contact sports in school. To not have to be criticized for not wearing makeup or making their hair all pretty while dressing "fashionably". To basically BE a man in all ways but gender. This is what feminism is about.
Re: Why don't women fight against feminism? We all know what feminism is about. It is about fighting for equality, absolutely, but again, hmmm...I was talking about something different.... I was talking about the popular perception of feminists held by 'short-sighted' people, not what feminism is.
Re: Why don't women fight against feminism? So you say in one post that there are many types and shades of it, then later agree with me that there is only one meaning... you're fun to listen to. I like you a lot, lady.
