It sounds like the something from the script of a Hollywood action adventure.
But the 'mystery of the moving mummy' - which has seen an Egyptian statue mysteriously start to spin round in a display case - has spooked museum bosses.

It's hard to pick out facts from sensationalist tabloids like the Daily Mail.
I'm a big skeptic with things like this and I'd be inclined to side with Brian Cox, as brilliant as he is, but it is fun to read and wonder. A lot of people want to believe in something more, and that little hint of 'maybe' is a bit of a rush.
I think it's just sliding around due to temperature, friction, vibrations, anything. Physics can be just as weird and wonderful as the supernatural.
