Would anyone like to share their experiences with foreign men? I have nothing against British men and would find it easy to find a good man here, but am in a relationship with a Colombian. Personally I'd prefer being in a relationship with someone from a different culture because it's so interesting to learn about their world (and language, if they speak another). To be completely honest I haven't seen any major cultural differences to speak of (that would affect a relationship) between British, Colombian, Eastern European, Chinese and South African men. I have no experience with American men. Have spoken to one once in my life, he was 60 years old and lovely

I've only ever dated a foreign guy once (he's American), but here are my observations (not generalizations):
1. Culture differences can either be exciting or difficult, depending on how you both handle it. In my experience, it had been quite exciting because I think we both learned cultural stuff from each other.
2. Communication can be difficult especially if you have different mother tongues, eg. I speak Tagalog and he speaks English and Mandarin (sometimes Spanish lol). Especially there are some vocabulary that I don't understand. But for me it was quite exciting as I got to learn a few words from him too.
3. Well, there could be some culture and tradition shock in some ways but I never really experienced it with him since us Filipinos are quite familiar with American culture.
Wish I could tell more, but so far these are what I could say since I don't have much experience in dating foreign men, though it would be very interesting to meet some from different races and cultures.

American and French teenagers (some with dual nationalities) answer the question: Are love and friendship the same everywhere? Looks the majority of those answering, believed American relationships were much less serious and much more fake, than in France....

Since the USA is considered a melting pot, foreign men are not hard to find. I'd have to say that for me, I always favored guys from Spain and Portugal. They obviously have something that catches my attention for the long haul.
