Equatorial Guinea is one of only two countries on this list with an IQ that averages in the 50s with its average IQ at 56. This means, most of the people in Equatorial Guinea are literally retarded. Although the average IQ in Africa is pretty low with the total aggregate average only being about 70-75, Equatorial Guinea stands out as having a particularly low IQ. There is actually a reason for why this happened though. It all goes back to one guy... Francisco Nguema.

This man basically was so paranoid about dissent that he decided to kill all the most intelligent and educated people in his country. He banned the word "intellectual," he ordered every single person in the country who wore glasses to be executed, he outlawed private education, had almost all the judges in his country killed, he banned the use of European names, he banned Western medicine entirely calling it "un-African," and eventually outlawed Christianity entirely... Declaring that "There is no other God than Macías Nguema." Owning anything related to Christianity would result in imprisonment. To prevent people from escaping, Nguema had the only road out of the country mined, and camouflaged ditches with spikes constructed along the mainland border. Out of the 300,000 people living in his country, he killed somewhere between 50,000-80,000 of them. In 1979, the UN condemned his dictatorship, and he sent his wife and three kids to live in North Korea.

In other words, this guy literally genocided all the smart people in his country. Not all of his targets were even smart people, but smart people were the biggest target of his government. This genocide resulted in the IQ of Equatorial Guinea becoming the very worst in the world, lagging way behind even by African standards. That is how much the genetic composition of a country can be influenced. Losing 15-20 points in IQ. If this happened in a White country, it would send us back to having IQ levels on par with or lower then the Roman Empire.
