Average Costs in the Philippines

Post by zacb » April 30th, 2013, 7:38 pm

How much should I budget for a trip to the Phillies? First, the nearby airport only goes to either Wayne Int. or Minn. $1700. Can you utilize small inns or hostels, or is it better to go to upscale hotels? I was looking at a hotel ( I think it might be in Cebu, which I know is not Manila, but just out of curiosity.), which was 4.50 a night. Are those rate a rip? And as far as food, what should I budget for a month? Would $100 suffice? And as far as extras, what do you think would be enough? I am more into electronics, so I would probably but something more in line with that, or probably spend it mostly on food. How much should I budget for that? I know everything is an estimate, but what have you found?

This has already been discussed in numerous threads. See the FAQ page link at the top, or do a search for "cost of living Philippines" in the Google search box at the top.
