PCness hasnt made it that far across the world yet. its really only a very recent western phenomenon. even in the 90s "no dogs, blacks or irish" signs were commonplace in england. today here, to circumvent the need to be non-racist and PC, shops simply have a sign which says "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" and then instruct the security guard to immediately escort out any travellers or romanians who may enter. from what ive heard from my korean ex gf, westerners' behavior in korea has a reputation not too far off that of travellers' or romanians' here, which might be a huge exaggeration but the point is there may be some justification for westerners experiencing discrimination there. whereas east asians are known as the least troublemaking minority there is here. there is still slurs shouted at them "chink" etc. but that is just nastiness not discrimination. foreigners are fond of playing the racism card for any little thing. true racism is non existent in ireland and england, probably america too, political correctness has all but made it extinct. people still love to get offended over slights though, which has kept a false shadow of racism alive, comparable to sexism.
