Interview with Adlous Huxley (1958)

Postby MrPeabody » March 7th, 2011, 6:32 am

Adlous Huxley wrote the book "Brave New World" describing a future authoritarian state where people are totally controlled by drugs and propaganda. In the interview, he contrasts his book with the vision painted in "1984". He points out the "1984" described the techniques of Communism to control the masses using violence. But, he believes that the free world will ultimately be controlled, not by violence, but through drugs and propaganda, the elites recognizing that creating a system where people love their slavery is more effective then using bayonets. This is a prophetic interview.
