That's an interesting perspective from a gay person. I thought gays "have it good" in America.
Don't you feel some sort of a camaraderie towards other gay people?
I mean New York and other major cities hang rainbow flags everywhere and gay people celebrate their difference openly in gay pride parades. Corporations left and right are virtue signaling and putting more gay and transgender people into their ranks. And also American women lower their guard down and befriend you because you are gay. Women consider gay people as their male best friend or whatever..

Hmmm I am just little bit confused here.. I am Korean American and we don't get any preferential treatment ever!

Do gay people really have it good in America though? I think most of them like the attention. They probably feel like society is becoming more progressive with corporations making empty gestures such as hiring more gay or trans employees, but in reality this is all just virtue signalling.

The differences between gay and straight people are just further highlighted and I think further division is the end result of this. Since all the LGBTQ+ has gone rampant in society I actually feel more isolated than ever before. I don't identify with straight people who act like I deserve preferential treatment, but nor do I identify with LGBTQ+ who believe society is moving more in a progressive direction.

As for women who prefer gay friends to straight friends, I don't know why this is. Maybe because gay men are pretty funny and flamboyant at times UwU and also because a gay man is less likely to try and take their friendship to the next level.

To be honest, I do not really know - I have no experience at all about how gay men organize their life-style in Japan.

I have no idea either how many they are, but most of them I guess do not reveal their sexual orientation. And why should they?

About myself, I am a straight person and I do not show up with anything which makes it clear that I am straight.

A man might be gay, but as long as he is not wearing earrings or tattoo, makeup or something like that, how to know he is gay?

There are some gay and lesbian people who want to marry and something like that is now under discussion in Japanese politics.
But I do not really know what is going on.

As said already, I do not care, their way of life is not my way of life, their problem regarding same-sex relationship is not my problem.
