you sound like you get 100% of your talking points from serpentza. you also strike me as faux-edgy thinker (someone who thinks theyre redpilled but are actually bluepilled). just curious, what do you think about trump? do you think he was legit or controlled op?MarcosZeitola wrote: ↑June 8th, 2023, 9:41 pmChina is pretty much done "developing". It was mismanaged for decades, and its leadership has enacted all sorts of monumentally stupid, ridiculous policies such as the one child policy that really have come around to bite China in the ass. Plus they've consistently mistreated and oppressed the one ethnic group in China that actually reproduces at a high enough rate to sustain their population and economy; the Muslim minority groups like the Uyghurs. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of "the West" at all but China isn't the antidote at all... it's just another capitalist materialistic hellhole, only one that is even more badly managed than Western countries.
As far as development goes, China doesn't really have what it takes to get to the level it needs to. Productivity isn't high enough and the growth of the economy isn't fast enough to keep up with its massively aging population. They're aging more rapidly than almost any other country in the world aside from South Korea and they're pretty much doomed at this point. And CCP fanboys will go "muh robotics! muh AI!" as some cope as if China isn't lagging behind in virtually every single technological field to Western countries, South-Korea, Japan...
I don't think a hyper-materialistic dictatorship that falsely pretends to be "socialist" and acts as if it gives a shit about its people, that is grossly mismanaged by incompetent leadership that cannot even be removed through elections, is "based" at all. Like the West is shit but if a leader screws up too badly, he can at least in theory be voted out... he would be "fired" for underperforming. In China, the management is not going anywhere no matter how badly they screw up, like with their Zero-Covid fuckery that drove their economy into the ground. Meanwhile people are brainwashed little cucks who just take it up the ass from the CCP and, after being shit all over, still continue to defend Daddy Government. I see little to admire there lol. At least in the West I can say my government sucks ass and no one will arrest me for it and harvest my organs.
Like the one thing that is the LEAST "based" I can imagine is when people blindly worship their own leadership, like the Chinese do. The West meanwhile is full of people who openly shit-talk their own government, their culture, their way of life. I mean, people like you, like me, like virtually anyone on HappierAbroad? We may raise a few eyebrows in the West with the stuff we say, but if we said them in China, chances are we'd be dead. So I know who I'm rooting for in the culture war, and it sure isn't the Chinese system, as flawed as our own is.
anyways you cant be taken seriously on this topic because of your exaggerated, extreme opinions. stuff like this:
HAHAHAHAH. ive been to china before, and I have friends that live there who I still talk to and they tell me that china looks completely different (in a good way) than it did just ten years ago. china is pretty much done developing? OK, sure thing bud. why even bother saying something as extreme and indefensible as that?China is pretty much done "developing".
heres another stinker:
china doesnt have to excel against the western countries, SK, japan etc in order to leverage AI/robotics for their own benefit, this is an arbitrary condition that youve imposed. you bringing up this up is a red herring and a logical fallacy. this is like saying that weightlifting is pointless for personal health if youre not as strong as other people... what does other people have to do with how weightlifting benefits YOU?And CCP fanboys will go "muh robotics! muh AI!" as some cope as if China isn't lagging behind in virtually every single technological field to Western countries, South-Korea, Japan...
tellingly, nothing you said disproved my original point:
in spite of its flaws I feel comfortable being mildly pro-china for the reasons stated above.china is based because its all business, it doesnt pretend to be anything else and it doesnt propagandize globohomo to everyone else. I would rather have an "enemy" that I know where I stand with it compared to an "ally" that will betray me
I wont criticize you as a poster, but on this specific topic I think youre incapable of being rational. your extreme biases seep through everything you wrote, its overwhelming and obvious.
