Real Estate Online Business Ideas?

I know it's too late to get into this now. But back in the early days of the internet, if you had started a site that hosted real estate listings around the world, or even around the USA, it would have been a perfect passive online income business for sure! Every month, people would pay a fee to list their property on your site, for sellers to find, and you'd get automatic passive income from thousands or tens of thousands of listings. Easy as pie. I know there are many established real estate sites that already do this, so it's too late now, since you could not compete with them. But if you had done this early on, you could have had a very profitable easy online business. Dang.

You could also host a site listing Bed and Breakfasts too, such as this one:

Here's one I'm thinking of. What if you started a site for people who wished to live in each others homes for a while? For example, someone in LA could trade homes with someone in Switzerland, for one summer, and meet through a website for such exchanges. This could be for an individual or a whole family. Then both parties could save on accommodation costs.

What do you think?

Any other ideas? Look for ideas that are unique and haven't been done.

Since you plan to go to China, there are many manufacturers there that you could contract to make stuff. If you have a good product idea, you can solicit funding from P2P lending such as Prosper.com, or possibly larger sums from crowd funding sites like kickstarter.com. For example, this product idea received almost $730,000 in funding to date, which I think is completely ridiculous, but hey, investors liked it:

What is that kick starter thing? Is it really that easy to raise thousands of dollars? In my experience, people do not part with cash easily. Everyone is skeptical and cynical nowadays about anything they hear on the internet. Wouldn't a lot of scammers try to take advantage of a site like KickStarter.com? How do they know you won't just pocket that money and run?

I mean one of the guys here who wants to go abroad could say he wants to make a documentary overseas, and just raise thousands of dollars, just like that? No way.

Why would anyone give away free money just to help make a documentary? It doesn't make sense. What do they get out of it? People don't give something for nothing. What about the phrase "There's no free lunch"?

If you had began a website that put property results around the world, or even around the USA, it would have been the best inactive online earnings business for sure! Each 30 days, people would pay a fee to list their property on your website, for suppliers to find, and you'd get automated residual earnings from countless numbers or a large number of results.

Since some people told me that I could be making more money with the traffic on this site with higher ticket items, I was thinking, what about real estate affiliate programs? Are there such things? Real estate is obviously a high ticket item so if I could earn commissions from property sales, that would be huge.

Does anyone know of any good real estate affiliate programs? Momopi or anyone else here?
