Taiwan ranks 2nd safest country in world - FBI stats?Moderators: fschmidt, jamesbond Taiwan is very safe for sure, almost too safe. lol
What's ironic though, is that for such a safe country, the people are very fearful and paranoid. Like America, there is a strong vibe of fear and paranoia around people and in the social vibe. I don't know why that is. I guess some people want to make sure bad things don't happen. They live by the motto "Better to be safe than sorry" and so go overboard in safety and protection. What's ironic about that is that many people in Taiwan drive recklessly, but when it comes to strangers, people are fearful and overly cautious of them. lol. I'm the opposite. I drive carefully but am not afraid of strangers. Check out my fun video clips in Russia and video series Female Encounters of the Foreign Kind and Full Russia Trip Videos!

"It takes far less effort to find and move to the society that has what you want than it does to try to reconstruct an existing society to match your standards." - Harry Browne, How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World Most of Asia--sans the Middle East and India/Pakistan--is very safe! It's such a relief to walk around late-at-night, and not worry about some gang, thug or hooligan accosting you for something. Compare that to NYC! You have to be very careful here, especially when you're alone, and it's the same throughout America; I just never feel safe as an American.
