The Philippines is a paradise for men.

I have noticed that there are virtually no single Filipino guys in the PH after a certain age: say, 22. Pretty much every man has a GF or a wife. Handsome, ugly, short, tall, old, young, virtually all get a GF or a wife. Even a disabled man will find a GF/wife!

All foreigners seem to be able to find a GF/wife in the PH, too. Pretty much 100 out of 100. White, black, yellow and brown. They always get their girl!

And unlike in Thailand, they do not need to pay the parents to get a wife. No need to organize a $20K wedding as in Cambodia. No bride price as in Muslim countries.

The Filipina wife will likely send money back to her parents and maybe other family. So either the husband pays that if she is stay-at-home or she works and does that. My wife is not Filipina, but she does that and I am cool with that. Her mom has a lot of kids sending money back so it isn't that big of a deal. Sending $50 or $75 or whatever every month or just from time to time seems to take care of it.

I did pay a 'bride price' though, in a way, though that wasn't the culture. I didn't do a big cultural ceremony wedding and paid the downpayment on a house for my father-in-law.

America is a paradise for women. They pretty much all have BFs/husbands. Even if fat, even if not pretty, even if she has 3 kids, all have a BF. Some have 2! They can dress and look like sewer workers- and there are sweet guys buzzing over them at all times. And the same holds for most Anglo countries.

I've met a number of single women, and of course there are plenty of divorced women. too.

Politics doesnt make a difference. Its just a puppet show. Like TV shows. Social culture and friendliness of women are what matter most and impact us directly. What president has done anything? None of the US presidents after 2000 have done anything. They've all been buffoons. It hasnt affected the dating scene in America. If a woman isnt into you and is closed off, changing the president or politicians doesnt affect that. Get real guys.

I know that, but I'm saying the guy forced his people to get vaccinated and then threaten them with jail time if they didn't. Then a few years back (not sure if he's still doing it) had a lot of his own people killed over drug use/dealing. I wouldn't be able to live there focusing on women knowing their leader is a brutal asshole that wants his people fearing him.

I think what he means is that young women in the Philippines are so plentiful, that they cover the needs of both local and foreign men.

It reminds me of stories I read about in Ukraine how women would go on dates with foreigners, even offering to sleep but after that would go home to their husbands.

I heard of similar stories in the Philippines. In many areas outside Manila, it's a small achievement for a Filipino/a to have a job that pays more than $4-600 a month, and that before taxes. Few married women would be immune to the "indecent proposal" of one night or three of "dating" a foreigner, especially if said foreigner isn't so hideous looking, if it can net them $100 or $200. In some cases husbands even know what their partners are up to and decide to close an eye, so long they get to count the Pesos afterwards.

I was married to an urban Paisa (for the record, that's "a girl from Medellin") and was in Medellin on 4 different occasions, including to get married to her

Paisas are known to be some of the prettiest Colombians, mainly because the city started out as a melting pot of European migrants, and girls tend to be less native looking, taller and more slender, with fairer skin and longer noses, etc.

Paisas in general are known for being industrious, proud and independent. No surprise that attitude permeates their behaviour towards foreigners. Most girls won't simply fall for the average gringo. You have to show them the goods, which is not just money: you need to show them you're good marriage material. A funny anecdote: one of the things that got my ex-wife's family overly impressed was that I was an "engineer". In fact, I have an engineering degree but have always been into IT...yet, the fact I chose a "hard" academic path was something that put me up there in the dating ranks. For the record, she is an engineer too. I laughed it off saying that in Italy, as much as in Colombia, job scarcity means you have to have an engineering degree just to have a stab at a decent job.

Rural paisas...haven't seen many of them as I have hardly ever left Medellin. Going out of the big cities you get yourself the same problems you have going into rural Philippines: girls tend to come from poorer backgrounds and, bar some exceptions, they tend to be less educated, less ambitious and more rooted into questionable behaviours, like being extremely possessive and jealous, wanting as much money as possible at all costs, having nosy families that will ensure their girl's "honour" is respected at gunpoint (at least Filipinos don't have guns!), etc.

I met my Colombian beauty while living in the UK, in Cambridge, where she was on a sabbatical to study English. Finding a gf abroad wasn't exactly in my plans, as I had been in London, then Milan, two large cities where (at least at the time!) dating wasn't so bad if you were in the right circles.

Based on news coming from his family, he took the J&J single shot, which is available in small quantities (usually international donations) here in the Philippines. This is the same shot my wife got a few months ago, right at the peak of the Philippine's vaccine paranoia, where you couldn't even enter a fast-food without showing proof of vaccination. We tried to hang in there for as much as we could. I managed to, she capitulated.

Anyway, she had no side effects, which still says nothing about the abysmal record of safety and the terrifying array of "adverse reactions" of these jabs. I have to hope the vaccine zealots won't start imposing more restrictions on travelling and living a normal life. So far everything seems 95% back to normal, that residual 5% being the still ubiquitous face mask worn everywhere in public.

I too get the impression this was a botched-up attempt to kill a few elderly. Where the vaccine didn't succeed, I heard about the side effects of Remdesivir and other hastily-prepared lethal concoctions that wouldn't have passed lab rat testing, in normal times.

They are not 100 % Christians, there are other religions too in the Philippines.

In general I would say, most people in Philippines take life easy, especially now with the son of Ferdinand Marcos as president and Sarah, the daughter of Duterte, the former president of the Philippines, as the Vice president. What can go wrong... LOL

I agree that the Overton window is finally shifting in America towards the right in a lot of states.

It’s hard for me to believe that many Filipinos accept degeneracy. My ex was Filipina and was very disapproving of degenerates and that’s despite being raised in Florida. Her parents were full blown, 1950s Alabama type traditional though. She told me they told her that “her job was to be at home and be cute.” They didn’t even want her playing sports growing up because they thought it was masculine. And they outright prohibited her from dating black men. No nuance or softness whatsoever, it was complete prohibition on it. They also hated tattoos.

She thinks I’m soft compared to her parents when it comes to being anti PC that’s how aggressively right-wing they are.

If I had to make a guess I’d think about 25% of Filipinos are sexual liberals. In the cities it probably goes up to 40% while only being 10% in the countryside. It’s probably also a higher percentage of young people who accept degeneracy compared to older people. In the cities maybe about 50% or more of the young people you come across accept degeneracy but I doubt the rest of the country feels that way.

I’ve still read that 40-50% of Filipinos have only slept with one person their entire life.

The thing though is that in the West there are still some people resisting. I'm not even vaccinated, neither is my brother. My cousin however...He did it because he said everyone at work was doing it and he just felt he had to go and do it too..
