Probably in Manila area and other major cities, places with the most money have the better connections. But which service provider is best? It all comes down to location mainly. I tend to prefer using Globe as they offer decent DSL service and it's not too expensive. I've had friends who use PLDT and I've only heard complaints about it and lousy customer service.

Many medium or light weight Internet users are migrating to WI-FI USB sticks but I don't trust their reception capability. I need a dedicated line that won't be up and down in regards to connection.

I have a 2mbps DSL line with a LL phone (which I rarely use) and I pay around $28 a month or 1300 pesos.
