Podcast/Website/Blog Name Suggestions...

Thus far I only have the name of my blog which is - http://leavingthematrix.blogspot.com/

The official title is - Leaving The Matrix and Finding My Wife: A Journey

I have gotten some suggestions from The Good Brothers Side Of The Game Facebook Page -

1) Ominous Paradigm
2) Chronicles Of A Black Man's Existence
3) Perilous Journey

The first one, I think I would need Peter Cullen to the the intro for me (better known as Optimus Prime or the voice of King Alfor in Voltron and Cmd Hawkins in Vehicle Voltron)

The second one sounds good, but looks clumsy name for a blog. I guess it could be shorten some how like chroniclesbme which is available.

The third sounds too negative, the whole thing isn't negative its actually positive as its solution based.

I was looking for more input. I got my mic today so I looking to get the ball rolling very soon with my first podcast. I got some great interviews lined up and some get content for the show.

Suggestions on a name?

The name you have sounds good enough, but maybe you don't like the 'matrix' reference or feel it's overused?

You say your project is "solution based", so what is the "problem" you're providing the solution to?

A paragraph answering that question (even if it's not posted here, just written to yourself) will help you focus on what a quality name would be.

I don't understand why you didn't have a poll option for "Leaving The Matrix". This is better than any of the 3 suggestions.

Matrix is not available and it sounds clumsy for a podcast.

I will cover what the podcast is about with the first episode. Click the Latest 100 Topic and you'll have an idea. Most of the threads are either about the economy/finance, lack of p***y, lumping all women together, time management issues and basic fear mongering.

I am not scared of change, p***y doesn't scare me, not being able to spend thousands of dollars at the snap of a finger isn't a concern.

If what you're doing is currently not working out and don't know what to do (a major problem on this web site), we'll talk about it. If you come from a dysfunctional family life, we are going to talk about that.

Those are just some of the things, but most of it will be my journey to finding my wife and some financial independence. I am I able to do it, there is no excuse for the rest of you. I am a Black man with never officially finished high school. I've had mostly min wage (accounting for taxes) jobs, I live at home with my parents and don't own a car.

As I said if I can gain financial independence, be in a loving long term relationship and live in another country, YOU CAN DO IT.

My podcast will help you and entertain you.

Leaving The Matrix is taken (at least the dot com version is). I want to keep it a dot com as that is the most recognized by the average person.

I like the second one. But no new suggestions? I am open to suggestion, as I said Leaving The Matrix won't work, .com is not available (actually it is, its $700, I am not paying $700 for a domain name).

Audio-Technica ATR2100. Its a Dynamic mic with both USB and XLR. XLR will become useful when I move to a Live format and take Live Calls. I'm on a budget and don't want to expand too soon. I will be taking feedback though via voicemail and play it back on the show.

I am still working on all the things I need to make it look and sound professional. The Mic helps andputs me in the minority of podcast. You'll be surprised how many podcast are done with Blogtalk Radio or Talkshoe which has telephone sound quality, self explanatory. Or all the people that post audio on YouTube. That's great if you're constantly on your computer, but what if you want to download it? I know how to download YouTube videos (I can do it a few ways to be honest).

Making it downloadable makes it more accessible to more people.

As one speaker put it at Blog World 2011, I wanted to have a podcast for people that don't read blogs... That's all the convincing I needed. Blog only market is saturated, podcasting believe it or not despite being 200,000 most have terrible sound quality, sound unpolished or are in a crowded market like talking about Technology.

This is sort of life help without the religious angle and actual tools to help you achieve your goals, that is if your goals are aligned with my own.

I have to update this post because some interesting things have happen in the last week or so.

First I think I am going with CBME, it fits best I think and I can't think of anything else.

Second, I was attacked on YouTube for some of my comments in the comment section. Its interesting because I think he went into "I've seen this movie before" mode and called me out without identifying me. But that wasn't enough, he then devoted another 15-20 mins talking about what he believes I am doing.

It was mindblowing. Now I wasn't under the impression that I would start this blog or podcast and not have any critics but the criticism is so far off target I couldn't stop laughing.

My respect for this YT commentator just went down a notch or two.

As I said we'll get it in and I think you'll like the first guest I have lined up, I just need to find out if he's ready.

Obviously you and I are different races, different experiences, and in different phases of life, but I like the fact that your thoughts are fiercely original.

Unless you really want to sit through 78 mins of ranting and possibly offending everybody in the process, you can wait for the show to debut because I got all the sections where he talked about me directly and indirectly, identified my screen name and then talked about himself like he was the "Master and The Commander"

If I criticize Blogtalk Radio, why would I use it? Instead of being in the majority of horrible sounding, poorly produced podcast, I am going to do it properly and record in HQ audio. You'll be able to subscribe via an RSS feed (http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/index.php), download it on iTunes and with smartphone software like Stitcher.

I sent him an email and also in the comments section to ask if he wanted to join me on a Skype call because clearly I feel there's a misunderstanding.

Surprised? I'm not, he believes he's qualified to call out people because he's "done it all". By it all, I mean served time in the armed forces, was stationed over in Germany, married fairly young (20's??), divorced, started a non-profit, went to college, joined a frat and is currently getting another degree at a UT extension.

I will still continue to follow him because its not all bad, but you have to address your critics and also give them an opportunity to respond. I am not going to have a back and forth, side taking on YouTube.

Besides he criticizes and doesn't offer solutions, sound familiar?

No I don't mind, I will be known as who I am (my name is on my blog) because I plan on going far with this. No need to hide behind screen names.

Race isn't an issue and that's why I have cut some stuff out of it. Its in bad-taste but familiar rants in the Black Community. You don't build communities by alienating people and like I said he states the obvious (based on one trip to Brazil) and he's also inconsistent, we'll point that out.

I don't mind critic, this is just misplaced and the record needs to be set straight.
