Dude....I have PERSONALLY assisted on about 6 forums in one role or another....at 200 people a piece that would be at LEAST 1,200 people I have PERSONALLY seen do the forum. I have been to about 12 or 15 tuesday night session and god knows how many introductions I took people to.Banano wrote:My concern is huge number of people who had mental breakdown, its safe to assume many came close to it...
NO ONE HAD A MENTAL BREAKDOWN.
Indeed, I was one of the people who used to call people to help prepare people for doing the forum. Some of the questions we would ask are "are you on any specific medication now?" "are you seeing a mental health specialist?"
If people were on any medication stronger than pain killers for some specific injury or seeing mental health professionals we would advise them that the forum was not appropriate until they were well. We would advise them that on the morning of the forum you would be asked these questions and if you answered yes you would be asked to please leave and come back when you are well and offered a fill refund.
Indeed, when I did it in 2000, being WELL KNOWN to the forum leader of the day, when asked if on medication I put my hand up as I was on pain medication for two slipped disks. David Miles, who was the forum leader, actually picked me to talk to as an example. He already knw my situation so I knew he was using me as an example. He asked what medication was I on? What was my injury? Why did I feel it was still ok to be here? What was I planning to do to take care of myself and my injury during the forum etc.
The message to the rest of the people was "if you are injured and have specific medication then it is up to you to be responsible for yourself". I knew David Miles very well as I assisted on one of his forums.
So..Landmark Education is fine...indeed it is MUCH less confronting now than what it was 17 years ago....17 years ago there was a lot more "in your face" kind of confrontation that I really LOVED as it worked really well for me. Others said I must be a "masochist" for standing up and talking with the forum leader so often.....but I really enjoy it....same for the other classes.....I really like the forum conversations and I do not feel confronted or upset AT ALL.....everyone else are just pussies...that's all.
So I recommend you go do it...you will not regret it.
