I have noted quite a bit of liberal-bashing on these forums probably because most associate liberalism with feminism. I am a moderate liberal but I make up my own mind about issues and I don't march in lockstep with every item on their agenda. If a woman gets on CNN and states that men are unnecessary I will object to that on the basis that I am a man. If I say hello to a woman and she glares at me, I don't associate that with having feminist views, I associate that with her having a bad attitude for whatever her reasons.
The reason I am a happier abroad advocate is because I seek to have healthy relationships with women but I hate that they have such a lifetime of emotional baggage. Maybe her father abandoned her when she was five. Maybe her boyfriends were all scumbags (which she chose by the way). Whatever it is women are so unhappy about, I don't associate that with liberalism or feminism. America is just ****ed up, guys. Not everything is a liberal vs conservative issue. I happen to think our suffering comes from the overall selfishness that is American society which has made people less community-oriented and ultimately less prosperous.
I hate misandry more than I hate feminism.

Finally one more voice of wisdom in the cacophony. It's quite obvious that the big liberalism = feminism = evil chain of equalities is but a gross (and very misleading!) oversimplification of the more progressive social policies which, among other things (but not limited to them), promoted gender equality. The kind of "feminism" they so despise is an extreme fringe of those gender equality movements and policies.
Well, feminism is one area where I think some Democrats and liberals, are divided on the issue: there are those on the left that absolutely hate feminists as much as most conservatives.
But, I think the main reason why feminism is often associated with liberalism is because the feminist movement is made up of mostly socialists/communists rather than conservatives. When did you last hear a Feminist protest full of Libertarian/Conservative types? LOL!
The only thing I agree with liberals on is the issue of universal health care and paid tuition for college. Also protecting civil liberties, criminal justice reform and ending the War on Drugs. But Democrats (along with Republicans) have a poor record on those issues. Only Libertarians have a proven track record on those issues.Everything else, I disagree with liberals on...
