I am born and raised in America and I have no friends or strong relationships. Americans aren't open and they are cliquish. That's why I became a commuting student because I hated being alone on campus when everyone was texting, hanging out with their clique, or showing public displays of affection. I couldn't stand it because that is toxic to the psyche.

Yes, American are very cliquish and do not like meeting new people. The women in the US are the worst, the only way to meet them is through your friends. She needs to know that you are friends with one of her friends.

That's why I often say, trying to meet women in America is like trying to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics!

So I am the traditional villain that the west fights against and am not only hated and feared but also jeered at, ridiculed, and viewed condescendingly.

Yes, this observation follows because even the dusky western antihero is still a hero and looked up upon, by mainstreamers, as a role model of sorts.

Clearly, this anti-establishment guy was a childhood hero of mine, no matter how dangerous he could be.

LMAO this dude is also my hero. So badass. Also his story. Speaks so true. America betrays its own. America is just full of f***ing lies. Seriously, Snake should have joined the Russians. Also he shreds that tape so the US cannot become the world dictator right? Too bad that's not real life because the US is currently #1 bully. It's like people never grow up. All of humanity and its interactions can be put into a playground scene with preschoolers arguing and beating each other up or whatever.

He probably realized too that the USA no longer and probably never stood for liberty, justice, equality, etc.

In the first movie, he shreds the tape on the fusion conference and in the 2nd, fires the EMP satellite weapon to disable the entire globe's electronics, so that the USA and the rest of the world would stop fighting each other, and get a fresh start. In both situations, he flusters the president and the other govt authorities.

All and all, the reason why it worked is that he was the 20th/21st century dystopic version of the lone wolf white western outlaw gunslinger like Billy the Kid. And thus, like Clint Eastwood before him, was able to make that type of person admirable despite being a rogue.
