I think I'm just going to go see a psychiatrist and be diagnosed with welbutrin or some antidepressant.
So you don't trust the regular food supply, but you do trust Big Pharma's addictive, mind altering (and body ruining) drugs? :?
(Although, if Wellbutrin is your toxin of choice, not getting laid will no longer be an issue.)

And you trust Big Gov (and potential employers) will not use such a "mental" medical history against you, 5, 10, 20 years in the future? :?

Of the two paths, I'd take one of the courses laid out by people on this thread.

Consider a mix of Buddhism, Taoism, and Shamanism. Buddhism, in itself, denies the value and existence of life.
Many years ago, the Best Picture of 1999, "American Beauty", telegraphed the message of Happier Abroad to the world.

Beware of long term engagements with AWs, you may find yourself in a coffin.

Race: If you speak standard English and don't act like the guests on daytime trash TV, the race issue will dissipate as you get closer to 30.
Bigots will still be such but, as you age, you won't be their main target.

Organic food: Get into growing a bit of your own (kitchen gardening) and get familiar with your local farmer's market.
Ask them about saving seeds, cuttings, etc.

If your school is in a farming region, there's probably a whole department dedicated to the subject.
Go to the campus library, walk right up to the front desk and ask could someone show you where the organic gardening books are.
They'll be happy to do so -- right after they get their jaw off the floor at the idea of a black man seeking out a book.
1) Pretend you didn't see their reaction. 2) Get familiar with that section of the library.

Farming co-ops pool their money (or labor) and buy in bulk (yes, including meat).
Joining one will get you quality food at reasonable prices AND possibly some hands-on experience or common-interest networking connections.

This topic could be a whole thread on its own. :D
All my friends tell me they never see me as black because of how white I act. The white males don't mind me no matter how racist they are. I think you are right about the 30 thing, but I don't want to spend 10 years being miserable. It's the females that shoot me down like nothing. My school is in a farming region and we have a local farmers market across the street. I'll be sure to check that out sometime.
This is one thing i never understood..because white people used to do this to me too...the same ones who think blacks should "just get over race all ready" are the same ones who all ways bring up your race every time you try to hang out with these people...as if they seem to want to force you into identifying with a racial group..but at the same time..they say focusing on race creates division and every one is the same...every time i came around white people they all was say..."your so articulate" "why do you listen rock?are you not black!!ugh ugh ugh ugh" "why don't you listen to rap man" "why do you go fishing?black people don't do that ugh ugh ugh ugh"."why do you skateboard are you not black?"

I know it's a bit petty, but if it makes you feel better, a former Armenian-American pal did this to an African-African pal, during martial arts, and I told the former guy to go f' himself and that he was a worthless racist sack of sh*t but with ppl watching him.

Sorry but I'm going to say some words that aren't so nice.

How about you grow some balls and stop all the negative bullshit. All you're thinking about is what everyone else is doing and what you'd like to do.

You're supposed to be a man. Act like one and maybe women will start wanting to play on your Pogo stick. Seriously, do not let a woman dictate your happiness. Do not let a woman rejecting you put you into a state of depression. Be the mother f***ing lion and an Alpha male. If some woman doesn't want you, it's her loss. NEXT.
I looked in to studying abroad and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to afford it due to rent and I owe my grandma money.
This is what I mean. WORK IT OUT. Get another job. Find a way. Act like your life depended on it. If you did this you might not succeed but your action might open other doors. Talk to granny, work it the f**k out. Stop being a p***y and go after what you WANT and need with a vengeance. Find a way.

Back in 2008, I wanted to cover (write and photograph) the Beijing Olympics. Problem was, nobody wanted to help me get credentialed or pay my way. I had been freelancing at some magazines for years - no help - the cunts. For a month I thought about what to do. I worked it out. I asked the magazines to tell me how many articles and photos they could guarantee me so I knew approximately what I would earn short-term. I found two people who donated towards my cause. I couldn't afford the accommodation because it was $500 a night and I was there for more than two weeks. A friend of mine had a friend who was covering the games. He talked to him and tried to get me a bed. It isn't easy but eventually I was able to win a coveted spot - on the floor. I could have been a p***y and given up. It paid off and helped me in the long run. I've done this several times. But that's why I'm in Thailand and most people only say, "I should go there," or "I really want to live in Thailand." It sounds cliche but the truth is, if you want to do something, stop f***ing around and do it.

American whites typically play dumb when it comes to racial topics. Expecting a white person to understand the black experience is like expecting a man to fully understand a woman's fear of being raped.

The few times I was pulled over in a vehicle, with me being on the passenger side, was when the driver was an American of South Indian descent. And really, the driver wasn't doing anything wrong.

The same goes for walking around on a Main St USA, esp in let's say semi-rural New Hampshire, where white couples get the red carpet rolled out and ppl of darker complexions don't.

I would love to go back to college knowing what I know now. If you think its going to get easier, na sorry. You are living in a cocoon right now protected from the outside world, once you graduate you will know what racism really is. Employment discrimination just to scratch the surface buddy.

Now, if I were to go back to college, here's what I would do

1.) Dump my ex-GF quick
2.) Go part-time program and get internships instead
3.) Join a frat and hit on all the slutty sorority girls, organizing events in our place and getting girls drunk as shit
4.) Get over the racial issues quick by trying to f**k all the other races and making a game out of it
5.) Graduate with a job and a sideline hustle
"So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it."

Like to read?Third World Hero
Like to see?3WorldHero -- Did he really just do that?

This is what I would have done..

Head straight to the student affairs office and look through their study abroad brochures. Select Poland or some other little european or latin american country full of badass women. Then wave goodbye to the U.S. for as long as it takes
