Anyway you're post is very good and yes some women in this society suffer because so few "real" men exist anymore. Look at all the video game addicted posters on here! I play games but it doesn't dominate my life, last time I had my PS3 on was to watch "Secret of My Success" via Amazon and that was two weeks ago. In fact the last time I fired it up to play some Tekken Tag Team, my Dual Shock was dead...

My point is despite the hostility in this thread coming from bitter ass men (I get it) the reality is I have been saying for years that American women (UK too) are in some sort of fog = Confusion! How can you know what you want when so many people are telling you so many different things?

I have one point of contention with your female friend and this cuts across the United States like a knife through butter. She only consider dark skin men from Med countries, maybe Indians (from India) but not Black men? If its worth it and her family would disown her anyway, why not Black men?

See as I have said before, White women are under tremendous pressure to conform to social norms that they will go through life miserable and making uncomfortable compromises when she wants a man but limits herself to possible candidates.

Out of five male cousins, only ONE was married to a Black Woman and they are divorced (for at least 15 years). The rest are married to White women because what Black women they found in Wichita, KS were ratchet, had children or high expectations. My cousin John recently married a White woman, not that pretty, sort of bookish but she makes him happy, I'm all for it. My cousin Brian the ex-Washington Redskin is married to British woman who is, well at least a 9. What's more manly than playing running back and knocking people out of your way? He's an insurance broker.

Those are just a couple of examples. But overall my family has mixed marriages its just not a strange thing.

She's short and that is going to impact her dating. At least she's realistic and picking other shorter men, not desiring a man 6'0 or more as most Western women are.

She should also give up on the idea of finding a guy that makes more money than she does. The truth is they likely make enough money to attract the women they want, so why would they want her? I am going to assume she's nearing 30 or is about 30....

While I agree with the others and say its hard to feel sorry for American women when so many have laughed at you, told you no or given you a fake phone number, or worst yet, give you the correct phone number and then told rather rudely to never call them again.

The only "easy" American women are Dark Skinned Black women and the reasons are obvious...

The income thing isn't as big of an issue add you'd think. She isn't the one who has a problem with them earning less, it's always the guys who get all insecure about it. Might also have to do with the class of job, as she's a low level suit, but these guys have been service workers. Back when I worked in that sector, I was very insecure about my low prestige (albeit decent paying) job. I wouldn't care nowadays because I just don't give a f**k anymore, but many guys in their 20s that don't have "real" jobs often have trouble relating to women that do and feel emasculated by having less "prestigious" positions than their girlfriend. Income wise, it's not even a high bar, she only makes 30k a year.

So far as race, her and I have talked about that one pretty extensively in the past. It isn't that she wouldn't date a black or East Asian man, it's just that she isn't attracted to the vast majority of them she meets. There are black and East Asian men she had found attractive, but they are the exception rather than the rule. Arabs and Indian men she finds attractive far more often, they just kind of fit her personal tastes better on average.

I totally get it, as I am not into most black women, but there are exceptions that fit my taste (one of which I was involved with, who is still to this day one of the best women I have ever known). White women, even the ones most people find attractive, usually don't do it for me. I like dark hair, dark eyes, no makeup, and tan skin. South American women with mixed ancestry and Asian women tend to fit the bill best, but Arab and Indian women sometimes have the look I'm into. You can't much help what you're in to when it comes to physical attraction.

I do agree with you about the standards thing working hard against her though. She's competing for a small pool of men that have a wide pool of younger and often more attractive women chasing them. Within a few years she won't be able to compete for anything but divorcees with complicated baggage or guys that are below her standards. I told her as much, and she agreed, but she's determined to get what she wants and would rather be single than unhappily married. I don't think her odds are good, but I wish her well in finding whatever passes for happiness in America these days.

I don't find every woman attractive either and I like little make up, no tattoos (though one or two are harmless if hidden from view 90% of the time). I know there's a dearth of available Black men, successful Black women complain about this as well, which is why they complain when one of them marries a White woman, they are really saying "What about us?". I say "What about you?" While you're former GF likely wasn't ratchet (that's unacceptable behavior when dating a White man), I find it interesting that BW of all stripes save that good woman behavior for White men but punish Black men by berating them and treating us like children.

Also finding a BW without children is nearly impossible and since that was never a major focus, its not hard for me to eliminate them from the discussion.

I don't know what she's going to do, but women in other parts of the world have a similar dilemma (in Eastern Europe and South America in particular). Maybe she should go spend some time in Europe, French men love American women for some reason.

Otherwise she shouldn't give up hope, some brother during Tommy's show in the chatroom said he like "Fun Sized" women. Not that its rare, it is a bit out the normal loop of discussion as most BW are not height challenged.
