In the bodybuilding sense they are not actually blessed because they are big boned. Therefore they just look like old-fashioned lumberjacks or whatever. The aesthetic muscular look is achieved by hanging big muscles on small bones.

When I was into bodybuilding I was making up for stuff I lacked. Specifically I otherwise led a fairly sedentary lifestyle and so wanted to increase my fitness, and I am fairly small for the area I come from, so I wanted to increase my size and strength. I don't see anything wrong with this. It is like a dyslexic person taking extra reading lessons.
A bodybuilder is a man who thinks prancing around with giant oiled-up dudes in tiny underwear is the epitome of manliness. I call that misguided at best, plain hilarious at worst.

Obviously the modern drug-controlled bodybuilding scene sucks. I'm not sure how it could be saved. But the idea of an asthetically pleasing form, which relates to function, is a valid pursuit.
