Living in the UK is tough, especially when wanting to go out and meet new people. I have been told by Western, Central and Eastern European women (and further away by Filipina and Indian women) that I am handsome, attractive, good-looking, and sexy.

So why am I overlooked by the local women in my own country? They don't compliment, don't seem to notice me and it seems I am invisible to them.

When I go abroad to other European countries, women flirt, are friendlier and in general people are not fearful of being open to strangers. In the past ten years, though I don't have a preference, all of the girlfriends I've had in the UK are foreign born.

Can anyone explain this strange phenomenon of being the invisible man in Anglo culture?

I cant speak for the situation in the UK, but it's the same situation here in the U.S. The problem is any woman who is remotely attractive has a billion options. So, a lot of guys end up being ignored.

If you aren't white, not many British women are interested in you. You will always do better with foreign women.

Even a below average white guy in the UK will do better than an above average non-white guy.

That has been my experience of it.

The whole race issue is stupid and gets blown out of proportion. People, as a general rule, pair up with people of their own race. That's just a fact of life. The real issue is that men are being shunned by women of their own race. White women are rejecting white guys, black women are rejecting black guys, and Asian women are rejecting Asian guys etc. As for these black and Asian men complaining about being rejected by white women because of their race, all I've got to say is "no sh*t, sherlock".

It's not stupid and it isn't blown out of proportion if you are a minority in the country you are living in.

People, as a general rule, pair up with people of their own race. That's just a fact of life.

That's not true, most white men in the UK (where the OP and myself are from) date and marry white women.

That's not true - it is something like 90% of white women date and marry white men - and with a vast majority of them, that will be an exclusive arrangement.

I would say most black and Asian women date their own men also - even in western countries where they are a minority though it is reasonable that more Asian and black women date white men (than the other way round) because white men are a majority in every western country - and white men are less racist when it comes to finding a partner.

As for these black and Asian men complaining about being rejected by white women IN THE WEST because of their race, all I've got to say is "no sh*t, sherlock".

Yeah, they need to be proactive and get out of there as soon as they can. It's not changing.

There are lots of white American men who lead lives of loneliness. A lot of my friends are perpetually single and I rarely see the men in my college classes talking to women. I get the feeling that a lot of American guys have given up and/or take whatever they can get, which is invariably very fat women.

Men in America lower their standards so much that's it's embarrassing.

Some men are advertising themselves on billboards in order to get dates in America. Maybe Winston should of tried this route.
