Expecting Premarital Chastity is Extremely Unrealistic

Keep in mind, this study was made in the 2000s... But here's the key takeaways if you don't want to read the whole thing...

By age 44, 95% of men and women had had premarital sex; 97% of those who had ever had sex had had premarital sex.

By age 20, 77% of men and women had had sex, including 75% who had had premarital sex.

This means 2% of people who had had sex by the age of 20 had only had sex within the context of marriage... Meaning, they got married when they were teenagers.

This means, out of the 3% of Americans who had ever had sex, but waited until marriage before having sex, most of them married when they were teenagers...

Even among women who turned 15 back in the 1950s, 82% of them had premarital sex by the time they were 30 years old. Meaning that even among girls born in 1940, only 18% of them were chaste until marriage. A big part of that probably had to do with how many of them got married as teenagers.

Only 1% of Americans who do not marry as teenagers will abstain from sex until marriage. Of that 1% of virgin women who really did hold out until marriage... How many of them do you think are actually physically attractive? Have a decent enough sex drive that you'll be happy in your marriage? Are mentally stable? Have a compatible personality with yours? Or, most importantly, are actually interested in you? And on top of that? How are you gonna go about finding such a rare woman? Are you gonna walk up to every girl at your local church and ask her if she's a virgin? Even if a girl is a virgin, she will probably think you're a creep and lose interest in you just for asking.

Now why am I posting about this? Mainly because a lot of the guys who are in this virginity obsessed crowd, ironically promote a lot of toxic and defeatist behavior despite claiming that the realists are the ones promoting immoral and defeatist mentalities. The reasons why I say this are the following...

1. A lot of virginity obsessed men refuse to marry any girl who isn't a virgin even despite knowing how rare it is to find a virgin woman nowadays. They stick to their guns and refuse to accept reality and act like they will either die alone or marry a virgin, no middle ground is acceptable to them. In doing this, they are self-sabotaging with their expectations. Now @Mercer will probably try and say something about how valuable incels can be or men who don't reproduce... Well nature doesn't view it the way you do and ultimately, nature is who decides how the world will be. It doesn't matter what the geniuses do in life, if they all refuse to reproduce then they will go extinct. If the murderers and rapists are the only people who can reproduce, then the future world will be filled with murderers and rapists because those are the people nature views as being successful. I'm not making a value based judgment, I'm just telling you how it is. If you don't reproduce then everything you stand for, everything that you are as a person, everything you believe in, value, and dream of... Dies with you. It will disappear into the abyss because if you don't reproduce, then nature doesn't believe you deserve to exist anymore.

2. A lot of virginity obsessed men actually contribute to the degeneracy problem despite claiming to be the vanguard against it... Because their standards for women are so extreme, they believe any woman who has had sex with a previous man is ruined forever and thus are all sluts who deserve to be pumped and dumped as punishment (and because the man doesn't want to go insane from sexual frustration but refuses to commit to any woman who isn't a virgin). This ends up promoting hookup culture and on top of that sends the message to women that if they've slept with any man they might as well sleep with 100 men. These men actually think they're not doing anything wrong because they think all those women are ruined anyway so sleeping with them can't ruin them further. Not even considering that virtually no other men have this weird fixation on their partner needing to be a virgin like they do and that most men are perfectly happy to settle down with a girl who's had sex with a few ex-boyfriends in long term relationships as opposed to settling down with a girl who's had 50 sexual partners. These men should not be surprised when lots of girls end up turning into mega-sluts who actually are ruined now because they contributed to the culture of casual sex due to clinging to an absurdly black and white view of the world where every woman is either a virgin or a public semen depository to them.

You can scream and kvetch at me all you want about how I'm not following my religion or being a cuck or whatever... But the truth is, we are all bound to the world around us. It is unavoidable...

If literally everybody else in society is doing something, then even if it isn't a morally ideal action to take, you pretty much have to do it because you don't have a choice anymore. If you live in a society where 99% of the population ends up killing somebody if they want to survive, then you are not an evil person for killing somebody in this society because that society is so evil that it gave you no choice but to do evil things if you want to survive. When people basically have no choice but to do something, then the moral severity of their actions are significantly reduced to a largely meaningless blip on your record.

I'd argue that once 80% of the population or more starts engaging in certain actions, that you have to start giving people a pass for doing it, even if it is immoral. If 99% of the population or more does it, then people cannot be held accountable at all for doing something because not doing it creates too much of a risk to the person and essentially threatens their very survival. Nothing would be that universal unless there was an extremely compelling reason as to why people had to do it.

And I'm saying all this as an ardent vegetarian who believes eating meat is very immoral. But I had to accept that even if I think the act of eating meat is extremely evil, that doesn't mean that people who do eat meat are evil. 95% of the population or more eats meat, so this is what everybody accepts as normal. I personally think its terrible, but virtually everybody does it, and doesn't understand why its wrong mostly because everybody does it. So ultimately, I can't really judge people for eating meat. So even though I was really militant about the vegetarianism as a kid, eventually I had to accept that I can't judge individual people for what 95% of the population does.

The same applies to premarital sex, no matter what you think about it on an objective level, you have to accept that you can't really judge people for doing it because its what just 99% of the population does and most of the people who refuse to do it end up failing to reproduce, which is essentially the same as dying. So you can't judge people for not wanting to commit to a certain idea that everyone knows will cause them to fail at the game of life.
