Facebook Lawsuit Settlement Money

Post by kangarunner »

"Anyone who used Facebook in the last 16 years can now get settlement money."
Anyone in the U.S. who used Facebook in the last 16 years can now collect a piece of a $725 million settlement by parent company Meta tied to privacy violations — as long as they fill out a claim on a website set up to pay out money to the social network's users.
$725 million....I'm just thinking how to think of an elaborate scam to sue some big business. I'm sure there's people who think of nasty, manipulative ways to profit from lawsuit money.

I'm not usually one for suing people... but this is Facebook. Their political and social agenda seems to be kind of negative, censuring the wrong kind of speech. So I am thinking of signing up.

$725 million is a lot of money. But what will that come out to... about $5 a piece?
