Low status individuals can make their lives better

Post by kangarunner »

Back home in America, I'm as low as it gets in the social hierarchy. Every day is a struggle and I'm nearly invisible to everyone else.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_stratification

Here in Vietnam, I'm different. Even though I'm a foreigner here and don't speak the language, my overall self esteem is higher here. Why is that? There's many reasons but a few are that people smile at me and I smile back. I talk to girls here and get their numbers. Easy to get a better looking, feminine girlfriend here than in the toxic wasteland of nasty American women. I wake up every day and I'm happy to be here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_rank_theory Social rank theory says that depression is directly related to one's low status. Conversely, someone who is high status would have a higher level of life satisfaction.

It's no secret why someone such as myself would not want to go back to America to the same misery when I have a happier life in Asia.

Therefore, the solution for a low status individual to make their life better is simply to go somewhere in the world where they are different and their social status is better.

Do you ever actually get girlfriends? I see you writing about prostitutes a lot but like do you date girls and have relationships or is it just hookups and the occasional romp with a pro? I reckon in a place like Vietnam, the language barrier would be a thing.

I don't give a shit what people think about me. To be honest I don't want an LTR.

During the pandemic I met one on Tinder who is bilingual. We dated for a few months. Then I moved to Saigon and met another on Tinder and we dated for a few months again. I was at the bank just recently and showed the bank teller a google translate message and she gave me her Zalo number.

My basic strategy now until I learn how to speak more phrases is to show them a google translate message.

What amazes me is how open many of the local girls are to talking to dating foreigners who don't speak vietnamese.

Now that I'm 37 I'm done with dating apps and just talk to girls in person.

Personally I'm going to just stay where I am. Traveling isn't on my radar anymore. I know what it feels like, that whole low social hierarchy feeling. But I believe this is for the vast majority of men these days....It doesn't help that you have f**k face governments importing more and more war age men into every country either just purposely adding onto the layer of pain. I don't see how that even remotely benefits men who are already struggling...Any man supporting that is either a fag or a dumbass. I do wish I could get some attention from the women without having to try so hard or board a plain to someplace else.

If someone clued me in on places in the world where my life could be better and I made the choice to never leave and find out.....then I would spend the rest of my life wondering what would have happened if I did.

I just don't have the will power anymore to go somewhere and look to see for myself. I can probably predict that my life wouldn't be the same if I went somewhere else. Thing is I don't want to move to Asia. I thought about Europe at one point but not anymore because I really hate their f***ing liberal leaders and might punch one of them in the face if I ever got close enough to them. But I also hate America just as much. Thing is it use to be easy for me to just pick out a place, like I would say "Romania." But then I kept thinking about how cold the weather is there and how corrupt the place is. Long ago my mother use to brag a lot about Germany because she visited Germany a few times. That was way back when she was in her 20s, so it was a different place then compared to what it is today.

Either way, I'm really stomped. I can't think of a single country right now to move to and feel as though I belong being there if I travel to said place and find out it's anything like America woke media, policies I hate and don't agree with, shitty governments trying to replace their own people with a bunch of migrants. A country today need more than just women to convince me it's worth packing up my belongings and going from here to way over there to experience the same f***ing bullshit. I have reason to believe Vietnam will remain unmolested for many many years. But soon as a nation reach that first world status? They become ripe for being messed with. Look at how women use to be in America before we got to where we are at today? We once use to have very desirable women......It took years for those in power to royally f**k all of that up.

How is that an excuse? I make a damn joke
to get you to laugh for once and you have to come at me like that. Latin America have all those trans walking around so I was making a joke about why that would be the only reason I'd travel there. You're just as hopeless as Willy is.
And that wasn't an excuse.

Honestly, I wish more people who are like myself in America would read what I just wrote above. Most would read it and still stay in America. And then a few would read it and make a plan to leave America.

I truly hate that country. I hate the people who live in it. I'm so happy to be here in Vietnam where I have hope and optimism for my future. I'm looking into some kind of education visa so I can stay here longer.

This is a good advice - to be interested into foreign languages is never wrong. To stay away from dating apps makes a lot of sense.
You should get on an airplane and meet people in foreign countries face to face.

About Asian languages keep in mind however you need to be very patient, many Asian languages are rather complicated and are using a different writing system too.

I think, only Tagalog and similar languages of the Philippines, Indonesian/Malay are easy, and about Malay, no need to learn the Arabic writing, many locals use only the Roman alphabet spoken and written.
