I'm a neet. It's not too bad tbh. It beats wage slaving.
Not too bad until your parents stop supporting you. Then what are you gonna do? You're gonna be old, uneducated, and no one will hire you. Kangarunner is having fun now, but he's not paying into the system, which means he won't get Social Security (pension) and Medicare (healthcare coverage).
My dad is kicking me out in 2 months unless I get a job. Him and his friend told me yesterday and I have felt bad about it since thankfully I can live with my mom but this is just such a cold and callous thing to do.
It sounds like you need a job and he is applying pressure to motivate you, maybe because he cares.

What is your background? High school degree? College?

If you have a college degree, back in the day South Korean English schools would hire native speakers with college degrees to teach English-- okay full-time salary, nothing huge, place to live. I saved about $6K in the 1995-1996 for a year's work there and paid off my student loans with that.

If you are strong, maybe a fishing boat in Alaska? Just get something so as not to get kicked out and try to find a career.
