It isn't real gangster rap though, in this day and age they are trying too hard. Those guys you named are nothing compared to the music that Eazy E was making in the 90s. They wear suits and ties now...And their music doesn't sound like that anymore either.
But they also weren't really all that "thuggish" despite it was in their group name a lot of songs they did sounded less like they were thugs at all aside from the early 1999 music they were doing. They were overly using the word "thug" and adding it to every damn song as if they were trying too hard to promote the ghetto stuff, they even had a song called "Ghetto Cowboy" and when doing solo songs one of them, I think Bizzy Bone is his name had a song called "Thugs Cry." So they were trying to push it in odd little ways. Then they started wearing suits on their recent stuff and people labeled them as fake thugs. In all honesty very few of these rappers even lived real lives in the hood at all, their music was just garbage lies.
Wu Tang for instance weren't gangster rappers but their music still had sort of a "I'm a hardcore New york thug" appeal to it since Old Dirty Bastard was basically ripping off the Gov and bragging about being on foodstamps.

It's just that all the New York rappers were less about money, cars, girls, flashing money, etc. That was mostly the West coast and Southern rappers preaching that stuff but they lasted the longest and made all the money because the Jews promoted them harder due to how degenerate the music was compared to the likes of Wu Tang rapping about Shaolin. This is why female rappers like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got bigger, their music is hyper sexualized, vulgar, and defies everything. The political rappers were always anti-gov, anti establishment and what not, so the Jews got rid of that stuff and replaced it with the gangster rap music like NWA who promoted all that f**k the police, but they realized that side of rap was more profitable than the political stuff Public Enemy was doing and they decided to exploit that instead and it paid off for the Jews because whites were into it too. They didn't lean toward the political music of rap at all, and the break dancing side of hip hop wasn't very popular either because it was too "expressive" with positive elements. Just listen to Nucleas Jam On It, there isn't anything negative at all in that song.

It was for awhile but it didn't last very long and that was during the 1980s back when the music was actually positive and no one really used the N word or any profanity at all or mentioned bitches, hoes, money, cars, etc that side of rap didn't become mainstream until the early 2000s when Master P and shit made their appearance because BET was always promoting a lot of it. In the 90s there were some rappers that brought it up but it didn't become all that mainstream until the 2000s when Juvenile and Lil Wayne appeared on the scene with that Bling Bling song. And they were from the South. Southern Rap was equally the same as West Coast rap. They promoted the same stupid nonsense.

Some of those guys incorporated rap into Rock music and because it was a new sound at the time it killed Grunge instantly. Rap survived for as long as it did because rock bands made use of it.

Hell there aren't any black metal bands and if there are they aren't mainstream or known in the slightest, the only black rock group people know of is Living Colour and they f***ing sucked BAD. The only song they did that so many people remember is Cult of Personality. But Rap?
