I'm no SEO expert, but it's pretty obvious that allowing this forum to go offline for days or weeks on end (as happened numerous times in the past year) could have devastating effects on ranks in google and other search engines.

Yes that's true. Also, this site has also been flagged on many filters as a site that contains "hate speech and racist/sexist speech" too. That probably results in Google penalties as well, in addition to the reasons I listed above. Google also probably has an AI that penalizes sites containing words that are taboo or not politically correct. There are a lot of posts on this site that are anti-American women and racist posts against blacks by Cornfed and Kradmelder too. Those probably get this site penalized too. Well I don't know if PAG knows what he's talking about. He knows some things, but he doesn't provide evidence for some of his claims.

But I've fixed most of those problems you listed remember? I increased resources on this forum already, so it doesn't go down again. We haven't had any major outtages this year, except when I was upgrading the forum, but that only took a few hours. So that problem was fixed. Also I have a backup mod now that automatically makes a backup of the forum every three days, so even if it goes down again and the database is lost, I can restore it this time, not like before where I had no backup. So those problems were fixed, remember? You act like I haven't done anything or fixed anything. Not true at all.

I don't know what Stryker is doing. I don't follow him. So I can't compare with him. But you can post his links in the threads about Stryker here. But why do you insinuate that he works hard and long and I do nothing? I've spent countless hours improving this site since 2007. You can ask Dianne. She gets bored while I work on improving this site when she's with me. She says I'm too obsessed with working on this site. So it's not true I don't do much here. There two kinds of user content: articles and trip reports. Articles are written by professional authors and deal with certain general questions. Trip reports are written by any user and deal with their personal experience. Meaning you can put anything you want in a trip report. Obviously no racist or violence shit. There are requests for articles and trip reports, that can be added by any user. Users are allowed to vote for outstanding requests of other users. That is, there is a rating of "most wanted" requests. Users can also request and pay for well-researched travel/relocation reports based on personal interests and needs. Some users are making over $500/day.

How is anyone making $500 a day on your website? Where is the money coming from? Come on. Why would someone pay $500 for a trip report when there are many free trip reports on the internet and in many travel blogs? What's so special about your trip reports that someone would be $500 for?
