It's true, Northern Luzon has some pretty girls. The cutest ones tend to live in the mountains. The Igorota girls are known all over the Philippines for their fair skin, nice hair and good facial features, many of them have tall, well-shaped noses and more sharp features, they don't look like native maid type of girls, but more classy, refined in their sense of style and beauty. The small rural towns have some serious hidden gems.

They are not particularly stuck-up, in my experience. The hottest ones, of course, are typically aware of their attractiveness. But you will have that with the top-tier girls of any racial group, any culture, wherever you go, usually. That does not mean they are not still miles and miles ahead of Western women in terms of attitude. You would like them, I'm sure. Quite a lot will still not be up to your standards, but probably about 1 in 10 will be. I say this as someone who is picky as well, and you have seen my gf so you know I'm a man of fine taste like yourself.

This is the thing. When people say they find white women more attractive, they mean they find the most attractive white woman more attractive than the most attractive non-white woman. This is not what matters. What matters is the attractiveness of the women you can get, and I think in general the Filipinas an American man can get will be younger and more attractive than the Eastern European women he can get.

We went to church one time in Jakarta in this skyscraper where you had to walk a long way to get out, and walked down a winding staircase behind this woman my wife said was a famous actress. That might have been the one. I thought my wife was better looking.

I told her she'd better stick around because I don't know if I can still get a woman as pretty as she is. She looks pretty great, judging from these stories. Like the type of woman who could have been an actress had she gone into the industry back in the day. My own Filipina is rather like that as well. The head-turner type. It's a rather huge ego boost for a man, to have a woman such as that. And of course, we are biased. But the responses from others are always very telling, as complete strangers have no reason to be biased and if your wife gets a shitload of compliments from people who do not know her and have no reason to not be frank, that tells you she must truly be a stunner.

I don't find most women I meet particularly attractive. Even on a large college campus when I was young, I might be interested in 5% or so for looks if that. But I was looking for one, for marriage, not someone just good-looking enough to sleep with for a night. Maybe that's a different mindset, combined with an extreme pickiness for looks.

Honestly, my impression is that Filipinas might in general be better looking than Indonesians. I was probably only especially attracted to 3% of college-aged Indonesians. My wife's college was mostly male, but maybe they had 100 girls. There was only one other girl at her college that might have interested me for looks (except her hair was short), and she was Chinese, probably one of the two or three best-looking Chinese I saw in he country. It seems like Chinese in Indonesia tend not to be as good-looking as in China. Or it may be out of huge masses in China a few good-looking ones stand out. I taught college there, and there were only maybe two female students I taught that I can recall stood out to me for looks. Occasionally, I'd see what I considered a very beautiful Indonesian woman, and he looks were exotic. I'm very, very picky, though, which what 'Malay' look I find attractive.

I also think the woman Marcos made the comment about looks like she is from Malay stock to me, a less attractive Malay, maybe with a touch of Negrito. That's kind of the stereotypical look for Indonesian maids, though they tend to be younger.

I probably found Koreans as good-looking as Americans at a high enough rate, but it was hard to find 9+'s there, I think. Even the K-pop stars these days with surgery seem to have sort of the same look of a reasonably high level of pretty, not something unique that stands out.

I went to a partly FIlipino church in the USA one time. Maybe half the people were Filipino. I remember there was a very pretty teenager, who grew up and got plump. One of the young married women who visited there was very good-looking as I recall. But most women aren't going to be stunning anywhere you go. A mostly white church would probably be the same, with a few really nice-looking single women out of a crowd of 150 or 200, if any are young enough to catch a young man's eye.

And generalizing that Filipinas will sleep with anyone? Some expats are sexpats who hang out in go-go bars, clubs, and sleep with prostitutes. Their impression of the Filipinas is different. Winston has posted pictures of himself with girls from clubs. It's a country with diversity, and if you meet girls in a sleazy club, that's not the same as meeting a nice girl from a respectable family who is devout and goes to church.

I agree that it is hard to find an exact lookalike for someone. There is one particular actress my girlfriend's family says she looks like, and that she herself says she looks like, but I disagree with them and believe she looks far better, in fact, than that particular actress lol. She's more of the Mestiza type, and she really stands out in a crowd facially because at times she doesn't really look Filipina at all, but like a Spanish or Persian woman to me. Then at times she does look Filipina, depending on how she holds her head, or smiles. It's remarkable. I also find that with some people, pictures do not quite do them justice. To see someone "in motion" sometimes makes all the difference in the world.

Of course it is natural for any man to be smitten with his lady. But I do wonder, at times, what on earth it is that certain men see in their wife or girlfriend. I find that a crazy amount of men just have very low standards for the women they date or marry, and it never fails to surprise me.
