This blogger sums up motivations for living abroad most concisely than most I have seen.

Excellent read! http://www.mavericktraveler.com/brazil- ... -followed/

This Maverick fellow has been receiving a ton of buzz here on HA today. From reading the articles on his website, I can see why! He knows his stuff.
"Manginas grovel. Men travel." - me (04/17/2012)

"I used to be one of those men who believed that men are better than women at everything. Then I stood corrected!
Women are better than men at... getting fat." - me (02/24/2013)

Black women suck at life.

It is an good post. I feel the sameway too as I live in a metro area (DC). Everyday riding the subway, the people, the activities, and the options I have used to have fun is to basically detach from women here, buy cheap crap from Amazon and focus on my entertainment.

I have lived abroad for 1 year and almost was able to stay but a small mistake from an interview I made because it was a language issue (Technical German). I am thinking of going abroad again that would be part of my career.

I am not crazy about teaching and because of being black and foreign it is not easy to find work in different places in the world besides teaching English. The other option is to start a business if you have enough capital and/or marry a nice foreign girl if you are fortunate.

Also, having money saved up is a problem too. I have some money saved up (enough to live for one year in my area okay). However, I feel I need more money for investment or for a business.

I kind of wish we had clear options of what men can do in order to live abroad. Teaching is not for everyone and I feel that my career is not bad but I still want to know what other options there are to live in work in the country you feel the best fit.
