Great laughs
Everything she said makes no real economic sense and was somewhat incoherent. Her points about "making things" was meaningless. It's vague enough to fool ignorant Americans thinking it's a good proposal but all the people with common sense and well educated can see it's just stupid. Silk worms? Americans can't profit off silk worms. Unless an American business has it's own silk worms, processes the silk, and comes out with a luxury designer clothing brand there is no way an American business can profit off silk worms. The costs of labor would be too high for American businesses to compete from an economic standpoint. It's better for American businesses to employ silk production overseas. The overhead costs for silk worm production would be enormous. The worms need a special environment and a special diet. That is why businesses make synthetic silk to avoid the extra costs of silk worms.
Silk Worms=Real Silk, Real Silk=Luxury
Freezing food might last for awhile but it definitely won't be as good it was fresh and it won't last forever.
Manufacturing in California? That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. California is high tax and has a high minimum wage because of the high costs of living.
Slaves on the East cost is complete stupidity. Does she go to a store in California and see all the Made in China labels on the products? Free food and free land? Nothing is free in America. Everyone owns the land and there are overhead and production costs associated with getting the fresh food ready for sale to consumers.
Remind you of the American Reality TV shows like Jersey Shore or something? Something to note about the end of the video, only one or two people were given a short applause for her. Attending a city council meeting is more involvement than what most Americans do in their communities but speaking unintelligent ramblings, stupidity, unfeasible suggestions, and statements that make no sense like she did should be considered embarrassment.
