Why do whites commit suicide more than other races do?

Than any other racial group? My friend from back home had looks/smarts, but killed himself this morning. I kind of saw it coming, but still.

People, in general, are getting more and more depressed in the USA. How many people look forward to that 24-pack of beer on the weekend after a long week at work? Doctors prescribe antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds like they are going out of style. If one were to go off their meds cold turkey, for whatever reason, they would likely become extremely depressed and perhaps suicidal. I know many people that have committed suicide, including a cousin 2 years ago. He had a wife, family, a good career....but something was obviously not right or missing in his life.

If one is not happy, feels trapped and has no hope that anything will improve...that is one route they take. Other routes are alcoholism, drug abuse and other unacceptable behaviors.

East Asians also off themselves quite regularly. It is probably a high IQ thing.

From my growing up, the four male suicides I'd known of, as a kid in metro Boston, 3 were Asian-American and 1 was a caucasian guy. And at most, Asians are ~15% of a suburb, perhaps even 5-10% back in those days.

Granted it's not a large sample size but hey, I consider myself lucky for not having known many, who'd decided to off themselves.

Are you talking about white Americans or whites in other countries too?

I've noticed that white people in America tend to be more reckless and impulsive with their actions than other races. For example, whites will give away or donate a lot of money on a whim, blow a lot of money quickly on gambling, waste a lot of money on impulse, drive recklessly and get into car accidents, and pull more dangerous stunts, than people of other races. They aren't as frugal or cautious. They don't think before they act. They make bad decisions on impulse.

Most of my white male friends are like this too. I've had to keep them from making bad decisions plenty of times.

There's a certain recklessness inherent in them. I don't know why. This is especially if they are not square, but misfits looking for a better life and trying to be nonconformist.

So this might be connected to the reason.

What's ironic is that a country like America which makes it a social norm to always be positive and pretend that nothing negative exists in life, would have one of the highest suicide rates.

I would agree with this author. Women are put on pedestal and men are considered cannon fodder in all European cultures. My own parents gave my sister more praise than me and as a result I suffered from depression all my life and my sister has a huge ego. When you combine crappy parenting, poor western diet, no dating options, high expectations and no social status it easy to see why white guys jump off bridges.

Yes, I knew several White males that committed suicide that I grew-up with. Also the same with some Asian men that I knew...So, it's not surprisingly to me, the two races that commit the highest suicides rates are White men and Asian men.

I also think it's pretty obvious that the elites in the world, see the "White man" as their mortal enemy--particularly, the Jews. The anti-White male bias is very strong in the West--hence, the high suicide rates. Thank goodness for Asian men like me, we still have a refuge in Asia, unlike White men-- where all Western countries are being 'flooded' with non-Europeans and multiculturalism; and you wonder why White men go crazy all the time....

As for Asian men, the pressure to succeed is enormous--especially coming from parents and relatives. Asian culture is based on materialism and status, so some Asian men can't handle the pressure. It's unfair and needs to change. ...

I would never suggest anyone break any law, but before any white man kills himself, there are two questions he might like to ask himself:
1. Are you killing the right person?
2. Is there anyone you should take with you?

The ones with virtue haven't yet adjusted to being treated like the rest of us -- especially by people that look like them.
Dirtbags of all hues are having a fairly good time, though.

Looks and smarts won't undo NAFTA, GATT, & WTO.
Do all the right things, have your job outsourced anyway.
Can't bring home the bacon anymore? -- find your wife getting the sau-siche(sic) from someone who didn't have to invest nearly as much as you did to get her drawers off.
The courts then reward her for this by relieving you of your house (but not the mortgage), and family (but not the expenses).
Inability to come up with the money is seen as no excuse not to do so, and treated as criminal.

The shot callers are well-insulated against frontal assault.
Complaining about it is met with shaming. So is opting out.
Starving the beast and creating alternative institutions requires cooperation and is not a fast and glamorous option, so most won't consider it.
Some men can only see one way out of a system that seems to get stronger the harder they fight it.
