In Eastern Europe or Northern Pakistan, etc mercenaries would find military surplus and wear it. So I have a French Revolutionary-style winter coat (not pictured) mixed with paramilitary gear like an armored vest, with a matching pair of black combat pants complete with knee pads to snap necks and crush windpipes without getting too banged up in the process.
