Hey guys,
I started an online store to supplement my teacher income here in Thailand. I haven't put that much effort into it yet. Really the only hits I have got so far are based on my postings on my facebook and a few for this site.

SEO (Search engine optimization) is not that easy for a new, small shop. You have lots of competition from millions of other competitors.

The other way to go would be to pay for google ads. This could be good if I was somewhat certain about making a profit. Again I know next to nothing about this. Can any kind person out there advise about this.

I chose shopify.com as my host for this store, another option would be amazon.com

I know a girl who made over 100,000 in a year selling jewelry and statues from India believe it or not. She made enough to buy a house in cash in America.

If I could do even a fraction of that business I would be very happy.
