No News is Good News
No News is Good News
I decided to stop watching the news and today is my 10th day without news.
In the first few days, I would reflexively go to my usual news websites, so I removed all the links. After a few days, I got in the habit of not trying to find news.
My life has become much more peaceful. I would say that the spinning of my mind has decreased by at least half. I have less negative thoughts and I am relaxed. I also have more time to do more important things. I notice people around me are nervous and tense. I don’t know why. They must be watching too much news.
I now have no desire to see news and find the thought of looking at news absolutely dreadful. It doesn’t decrese my capacity to be informed to not watch news. If I want to know if some place is closed due to the virus I can just go to their website. I could also go to the county website or a police website if I want to be informed about any rule changes in my local community. I would actually end up more informed about things directly relevant to me rather than watch news and be worked up about events that are not relevant to my day to day life.
The mass media news corporations intentionally distort events or sensationalize them because traumatized people will be more likely to look at their advertisements. They make money by damaging your life. That is evil. Watching news is like putting an open sewer pipe in your living room.
Turn off the news. No news is good news.

Re: No News is Good News
Very timely, as I've just recently -- a couple hours ago -- arrived at a similar resolution. I haven't watched corporate media news programs in years, for the reasons you mention, but now I think I'll stop watching people who interpret that "news." The current agenda is nothing but mind f*cking, and that truly is evil. When you live in an insane asylum you have to find a way to block out the insanity.

Take it a step further and get rid of you TV altogether. I have not watched TV since 2015 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
But the mainstream news is the worst. It is constant negativity and lies that ruins your mood and lowers your energetic vibration.
Get your news online from alternative sources like Zero Hedge, OANN, Breitbart, and the Washington Examiner.

Alternative media is as full of negativity as the main stream media. All news is bad. I am treating this like alcoholics anonymous. If you want to stop drinking, you have to stop 100 percent. If you take even one little sip, you will end up drunk. If you look at one little news clip, you will end up wasting hours looking through different news websites.

I think that may be the way you have to do it.MrPeabody wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 9:44 amAlternative media is as full of negativity as the main stream media. All news is bad. Stop watching the news for one day and just notice what happens. Does your mood improve? Is your mind more quiet? Did you do things that you didn't have time to do before? When you finally look at what you missed, you discover that you missed absolutely nothing? Experiment and have curiosity on how news affects you.

Can we finally have that debate on socialism or did you finally figure out the bankers are conning all of us ?MrPeabody wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 10:29 amStop watching the news for one day and just notice what happens. The rich in the top 1% want more money and power and they also want to make everyone below them poor and unprepared so the rich who own the news networks would never allow anything helpful or important to be broadcast. Tv anchors are some of the dumbest, phoniest people and there are probably some good reasons for that. People of average intelligence would quickly go insane from being forced to read the repetitive nonsense these networks air everyday. The anchors also seem to be on anti-depressants or other drugs.

You have a point, BUT, when I say alternative news media, I was referring to print media where you pick and choose what you consume instead of being force fed broadcast news.MrPeabody wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 9:44 amAlternative media is as full of negativity as the main stream media. If you only want to focus on positive or lie relaxant news you therefore can.
Most people think that keeping up with current events is important, but you can be discriminating in your consumption.

Re: No News is Good News
It's hard to avoid the news when it smacks you in the face every day. I've had two trips to Europe canceled because of this farce at a cost of over $2,100. There are over $7,300 worth of unemployment benefits that belong to me in an account that I can't access, and I've been trying unsuccessfully for three weeks to make contact with the Arizona unemployment office to get the matter resolved. State ombudsman's office, legislative aide to state Senate minority leader -- even these people can't get this impenetrable bureaucracy to contact me. And now all the female mayors of Arizona have imposed mandatory face diapers, starting tomorrow.
This is the biggest psy-op ever perpetrated. It's eradicating face-to-face culture altogether, and it's destroying people's health through fear and demoralization. They're backing us into a corner, giving us nothing to live for, and now they're making out-and-out war on white males in the U.S. I don't own a firearm, but tell me when and where and I'll show up with my baseball bat. What other choice are we being given?

You collect unemployment gibs? I do too - now that I am older and wiser and so I apply for as much as I legally can, but I am surprised given the advantages you seem to have had.gsjackson wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 7:46 pmIt's hard to avoid the news when it smacks you in the face every day. Sure. Why not? I work when I'm in the US, as a substitute teacher. I have to to afford traveling. But the corona hoax might end that too. I'm not going to wear face diapers all day at work, and that's surely coming round the bend.Cornfed wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 8:45 pmYou collect unemployment gibs? Damn hypocrite. You cry and whine about employment perks being “gibs” but now you disclose you are a shiftless welfare recipient? Amazing!Cornfed wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 8:45 pmYou collect unemployment gibs? You don’t have firearms? Time to get some!gsjackson wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 7:46 pmThis is the biggest psy-op ever perpetrated. I stopped social distancing a month ago. Isolating people is what lit the fuse to the powder keg.
And no. No one is against “white males” per se. They are against MASCULINE MALES because because the simps and LGBTQ males have teamed up with the Marxist coalition which includes multitudes of swishy and low-seeded white males.
Trump is not hated because he is white, he is hated because he is MASCULINE!
Re: No News is Good News
Of course I have collected gibs during this Covid bogosity. I was forcibly prevented from earning a living, so gibs was the least I was entitled to. But tomorrow in my not so healthy middle age, I will forgo my gibs and get out in the cold and do essential work. Have you even done that in your life? Will you ever.? Of course not.Contrarian Expatriate wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 10:38 pmDamn hypocrite. You cry and whine about employment perks being “gibs” but now you disclose you are a shiftless welfare recipient?
