Back last year when I went abroad, the grocery stores and really all stores were empty. Even online stores.
No toilet paper, no paper towels, no liquid hand soap, all canned goods and pasta were gone, meats were scarce, bottled water (including the most expensive bottled waters from Fiji and Italy) and many bottled beverages that aren't plain water were gone.
But when I went to Bulgaria, there were zero product shortages. That's really how it was everywhere else in the world too.
My question is, why does the United States have product shortages when consumerism and warehouses to stock all the products to sell to consumers exists on a greater scale than anywhere else in the world?
